With the development of smart grids,the kinds of communication technologies are increased gradually.A variety of communication technologies are widely used in smart grid communication networks to meet the increasing needs of communication services,as reliability,real-time and security.PLC technology is a communication method of voice,data and video transmission through power lines.It has the characteristics of high reliability,simple networking and high economic efficiency,which is an important way to achieve the "last mile" accesses of smart grid.To meet the business needs of the smart grid communication network,there are important in both theoretical significance and application value to plan and optimize the PLC network for business scenarios to ensure the reliability of the network and meet the requirements of the communication service demand.PLC technology transmits data carrier as well as current,which would bring channel noise and attenuation.This results in a short reliable communication distance in PLC.To improve of the shortcomings of PLC,the relay technology must be adopted in the network planning to expand the reliable communication range.The existing relay technologies of PLC networks were not enough analysis on network application scenarios and service features.The lack of PLC network planning algorithms for different planning needs would make PLC networks hardly achieve performance optimization for different indexes.So,this paper studied the PLC relay station planning strategy.According to the different service characteristics,this paper researches on PLC relay station planning method.The details are as follows:1)To meet the higher real-time requirements in distribution network with small amount of data,this paper proposed for PLC network relay station planning algorithm oriented to delay optimization.With the restriction of reliability,(N-1)restriction principles and network energy consumption constraints,the aim of the algorithm was to reduce the average transmission delay as the use of multi-objective relay station planning model.An improved genetic algorithm was used to design the multi-objective optimization algorithm.Simulation results have shown that the algorithm could meet the planning requirements of distribution networks and improve the real-time behavior of networks based on ensuring the reliability,through the effective planning of relay stations.2)In the scenario of access network in smart grids with a large amount of communication data,this paper proposed for PLC network relay station planning algorithm to avoid network congestion,which considering the delay caused by queuing.The multi-objective optimization planning model was constrained by reliability,(N-1)restriction principle and maximum link loss rate,while the average network delay and packet loss ratio was the aim to reduce.The algorithm was design based on immune algorithm.Simulation results have shown that the proposed algorithm could minimize the network delay and packet loss rate based on ensuring the reliability.The algorithm could show good performance on the basis of meeting the planning requirements.
