With the continuous development of China's economy,the power consumption of social production and human life has increased dramatically.At the same time,with the large-scale access of new energy sources such as large-scale wind power and solar power generation,the security and stability of power grid has been put forward higher requirements.Therefore,in order to solve the above contradictions,it is imperative to build a more reliable,high-quality,efficient,compatible and interactive smart grid.State Grid Corporation invested 1.6 trillion yuan in the construction and design of smart grid during the 12 th Five-Year Plan period.From 2011 to now,all the new 110 KV and above substations invested by Jiangxi Province are smart substations,and the conventional substations have gradually withdrawn from the stage of society.Therefore,the construction of smart grid to achieve reliable,safe,economic,efficient and environmental protection is the inevitable trend of China's power grid development.Based on this background,for smart grid,relay protection should be its first defense program,which can effectively ensure the safe,stable and reliable operation of the entire grid system.Once a fault occurs in the power system,the relay protection device can remove the equipment in time and send out alarm signals.In this way,the staff can discover the fault phenomenon in the first time and take effective measures to deal with it,which not only effectively reduces the benefit loss of power enterprises,but also ensures the effective supply of power resources.Thus,the importance of relay protection technology for smart grid can be seen.This requires power enterprises to strengthen the research of relay protection technology,so as to better play the important role of relay protection technology,and lay a good foundation for the safe and reliable operation of smart grid.This topic first introduces the connotation of Smart Substation and the influence of Smart Substation on relay protection.Secondly,it introduces the configuration principle and technical requirements of relay protection in smart substation.At the same time,it introduces the structure formation of "three-layer and two-network" in smart substation,which combines the secondary design of 220 kV Smart Substation which has been built in Fuzhou power grid and the promulgated smart transformation.According to the technical specifications of power stations,the protection configuration schemes in intelligent substations are summarized,and the specific scheme of relay protection configuration in intelligent substations is proposed.Through the analysis of 220 kV Huangling Substation,the successful experience for the follow-up project is summarized,which can provide valuable experience for the future construction of smart substation,as well as a useful reference value for the future construction of Smart Substation with higher voltage level.
