Now with the energy shortage,people's energy crisis consciousness is more and more intense,the new energy technology has become nowadays the most popular topic,especially for new energy vehicles,a major global automotive industry giants have invested heavily in the development of new energy automotive industry in China,the major enterprises attach great importance to this field.Therefore,playing an important role in the future automotive market,whether the superiority and potential of electric vehicle can be sustained in our environment is the most need for research and exploration.In this paper,three electric vehicles(HEV,PHEV and EV)with different electrical degrees are selected as the research object,and life cycle assessment(LCA)method is applied to establish the life cycle model of electric vehicle.Get the key input parameters through a large number of references and electric vehicle life cycle model,and using GREET software simulation to calculate electric vehicle environment list,and conventional gasoline vehicles(GICEV)compared with the electric car,while the quantitative evaluation of characteristic parameters of the environment,comprehensive evaluation of electric vehicle life cycle energy loss and environmental impact.The following conclusions are obtained.(1)Compared with GICEV,the total performance of EV is better than that of GICEV,and the total life cycle energy consumption of HEV,PHEV and EV has decreased by27.7%,28.6% and 25.1%,respectively.The total life cycle GHG emissions have decreased by 20.2%,26.6% and 1.5% respectively.(2)The essence of energy saving and emission reduction of electric vehicles is the energy consumption and emissions to the upper stage of the fuel cycle,the energyconversion rate of gasoline is much higher than that of electricity,gas and electric energy conversion rates were 78% and 46%,so the electric car really do the whole life cycle of energy saving and emission reduction,to improve the energy structure and technology.(3)With the increase of electrical level,the proportion of gasoline consumed by HEV,PHEV and EV is getting smaller and smaller,which is reduced by 27.4%,43.4%and 94.9%,respectively.However,the consumption of coal is increasing,which is increased by 15.7%,155% and 293.9% respectively.(4)From the environmental impact potential trend,with the increase in the degree of electric vehicles,the global warming potential(GWP)and energy(EU)firstly decreased and then increased,and human toxicity potential(HTP)and acidification potential(AP)is a vehicle with electrification levels increased gradually increased and EV increased obviously,in general,HEV the best,the most able to adapt to the current environment.To sum up,the pure electric vehicle has clean energy and reduce energy consumption,the demand for oil is lower than that of the traditional source of gasoline vehicles,but the government still needs to improve the coal power energy structure of the mainstream model,diversification of raw power,making the electric car to make a greater contribution in energy conservation and emission reduction.
