Advantages of the underground granary such as saving the land resource,keeping a constant temperature and being able to isolate outside environment to some extent make it suitable for promotion.In the construction of the underground granary,the waterproof and moisture-proof measures for buildings on the ground,like steel plate,waterproof coating,are usually applied to underground granary.The low underground temperature and high underground moisture can easily cause corrosion in steel plate when the underground granary is in this underground environment all year round.Improper methods of coil joint can easily result in leakage which is fatal to underground granary.All in all,these traditional ways of waterproof and moisture-proof can’t satisfy the requirements in underground granary,In order to improve the ability of waterproof and moisture-proof in underground granary,polypropylene(PP)as the waterproof material lining inside of underground granary was put forward.Welding is used to connect PP slabs.Three formations of weld seam between PP slabs in underground granary were proposed according to the practical engineering case.Experiments and numerical simulation of performance of three different formations of weld seam are conducted and results of experiments and numerical simulation are analysed.Theoretical analysis is carried out on the basis of the results of experiments and numerical simulation.Formulas of anti water pressure strength in the condition of experiment was explored.The main contents of this research include the following aspects:(1)Three formations of weld seam between PP slabs were proposed which are suitable in plastic and concrete underground granary according to practical engineering cases.(2)Anti water pressure strength of every specimen was measured according to different formations of weld seam.(3)Verifying experimental results by software of finite element simulation ABAQUS.The influence factors of the performance of weld seam such as the thickness of PP bottom slabs,width of PP slabs,thickness of PP cover slabs are explored by numerical simulation.(4)Force analysis of these three formations of weld seam is conducted on the basis of experiments and numerical simulation in order to find the law between influence factors mentioned above and anti water pressure strength of weld seam.(5)Formula of anti water pressure strength is researched according to the results of experiments and numerical simulation,which provided the theoretical accordance for practical engineering cases.
