This thesis is aimed at the current situation and problems of the interface activity of commercial blocks in China,which is based on the new rapid development of the city.The traditional consumption space in the city is declining,because of the strengthening of globalization trend,the rise of online virtual consumption space,the intervention of new media technology and the upgrading of consumption behavior.The business interface,which is the most direct contact between commercial architecture and urban,should maintain the most sensitive response to consumer market and technological innovation.Firstly,this study explains the concept of interface,and distinguishes the concept of "facade","surface" and "outer space".Secondly,based on the background of the consumer society,the thesis investigates and analyzes the interface space and activity of commercial blocks in Beijing Taikooli Village and Beijing Xiangyun Town.In order to objectively judge the subjective commercial street environment quality,the research analyze the elements of the interface,the quantized parameters and the activity density associated with the building.Furthermore,the change of city structure and the operation mechanism which is caused of upgrades of business models and lifestyle.Lastly,based on theoretical research and field research,i think the commercial street interface should be transformed into a design pattern aimed at satisfying human interaction,and to maximize communication and experience.And title research put forward the concept of"city living room","flexible interface" and "new retail".By optimizing interface design,we should make the city a place for people to live,not just a tool for linking material and information.
