In recent years,China's culture and economy have developed rapidly,and the technology in various fields has been improved rapidly.There have been a lot of different kinds of expos in the world,and it has been shown to be a symbol of national and regional strength,a direct form of national or regional culture and economic development.The garden expo is not only an effective way to spread the culture of gardens,stimulate the development of the industry,but also stimulate the development of the local economy,which is also a very important place for designers?host the departments and the general population,it represents the presentation and the participation of the garden expo.At the same time,garden horticulture exposition is carried out to promote city image,improve urban living environment,increase urban green area,perfect urban Greenland system and promote city construction.This paper made a general overview of the history,feature,role and significance of the garden horticultural expo park and the development of horticultural expo garden in China.Through the field survey of the world garden expo in Xi'an,the Chinese chongqing international flowerexpo garden,and the tangshan internationalflowerexpo garden,it summarizes its planning strategies and design methods.It put forward some questions about that development of horticultural expo in our country.It also studies the development of horticultural expo.This paper studies the site selection,planning strategy and space layout,plant selection and technology application and landscape characteristics of expo garden.A planning and design system of horticultural flowerexpo garden was constructed,which was designed to design Jiayuguan city flower expo garden.This paper mainly analyzes the site location,natural conditions and planning background of Jiayuguan city flower expo garden.The overall planning design is conducted from the general planning of the park,the special planning,utilization and post-development maintenance management.The project is designed as the main plan design project.It choose that 54 kinds of woody plant and 38 herbaceous plantsplanted in Jiayuguan garden,makes scientific and rational plan,so as to propose an optimized model for sustainable development of the flower expo garden in Jiayuguan city.
