Over the past few years,China has become more and more prosperous becauseof the rapid growth of the economy.Chinese Economic growth has surpassedlots ofdeveloped capitalist countries and Chinabegins to lead the growthof global economy.However,the development of Industry and economy leads to atmosphere quality depravation,and the environmental pollution problems stand out day by day.The"haze"weather which ha seriously endangered people's living environmentappears frequently.The thermal power unit has been regarded as the culprit to destroy the atmosphere.It is a huge machine to release air pollutants such as SO2,NOx,smoke and dust,it also as an important goal of national environmental governance.As our social environmental awarenessincreasing,the power companies devote to improving the environment.They have spend a lot of money to upgrade their equipments.But compared with some new energy such as the solar or wind energy,they still release more pollutant,especially too much dust.The development of enterprises has also been greatly limited.With the increasing development of wet electrostatic precipitator technology,thermal power plants have seen the hope of development.The new technology could reduce the dust releasing at a large extent.The coal-fired power plants which are installed the new dust precipitator can reduce the dust to ultra-low emission standards,less then 5mg/Nm3.Wet electrostatic precipitator can also effectively remove the PM10 and PM2.5,and effectively avoid the"chimney rain",and now the wet electrostatic precipitator,one of the most advanced and economically feasible solutions,has been widely used to removal dust in thermal power plants.The paper will attempt tostudy the working principle of wet electrostatic precipitator and the factors which affecting its working efficiency.The characteristics of several kinds of wet electrostatic precipitators with different electrode materials are analyzed and compared.Taking a 330MW coal-fired power plant environmental protection transformation project as the research object,according to the research and development status of wet electrostatic precipitator technology at home and abroad,combined with the implementation of the project,to study of the necessity and feasibility on the transformation of the wet electrostatic precipitator.The theory and practice prove that the power plant dust and atmospheric pollutants such as PM2.5 have been effectively reduced,the coal-fired power plants which are installed the new dust precipitator can reduce the dust to ultra-low emission standards,less then 5mg/Nm3,and the transformation of low investment,low maintenance cost,saving water consumption,so the wet electrical precipitator has a certain application prospect in coal-fired power plant,it can improve the level of clean and efficient of the coal-fired power plants,and can bring long-term environmental interests and social interests for enterprises.
