The Design Of The City Square From The Perspective Of Regional Cu Lture

With the acceleration of globalization and rapid development of urban economy,“Culture Assimilation” of urban construction brings quite a big crisis to regional and national culture.City square,as a window to show the characteristics of urban culture,has deficiencies in theoretical framework,value orientation etc.of construction.Therefore,how to explore regional culture and how to reasonably apply it to designing is an important study worth the researches of the current designing circle.The thesis begins with the problems existing in the current design of city square and tries to study the design of city square in the perspective of regional culture.First of all,by searching and collecting relevant literature of regional culture and city square at home and abroad,the deficiencies in the design of city square in our country are found.Secondly,the research does a survey of two excellent cases of city square: Hongshan Square in Wuhan and Shouyi Square to analyze how these squares express their meaning of regional culture by designing.The thesis analyzes the characteristics of regional culture of city square from the cognitive aspect and proceeds to the study of designing language used in the regional culture of city square.Besides,how to develop the meaning of regional cultural of city square is further analyzed and the ideas and methods of city square design are concluded based on the perspective of regional culture.Last but not least,the researcher puts forward the designing ideas and methods applied in the program of square in Chushi Colonnade Scene.By extending the regional characteristics of space structure in the square,coordinating the relationship between the original nature and the background,and abstracting cultural meaning in Jinchu region,a city square will be constructed to fully manifest the culture essence of Chu.It is hoped that the research can provide new ideologies and approaches for designing city squares in our country.By expressing the invisible regional cultural meaning,city squares of unique charm of regional culture are to be built up,and the further development of urban culture and the promotion of cultural meaning are to be assisted.
