Under long-term application of chemical fertilizer, tobacco would show some degradation in quality, such as disease resistance, tobacco leaves' aroma deficiency, contents coordination, while supplying with moderate organic fertilizer could improve physical quality and chemical quality of the tobacco. This paper mainly studied on the effect of different organic fertilizer level (0,225,450,675,900,1125 kg/hm2) on Honghuadajinyuan in physical and chemical properties of tobacco. The main results are as follows:1. Effects of the organic fertilizer on the agronomic traits of tobaccoCompared with the control, the tobacco plant height was increased with organic fertilizer application, the stem girth was most in 900 kg/hm2; it increased the leaves area of the middle and top leaves significantly.2. Effects of the organic fertilizer on the antioxidant enzyme and the pigment content of the flue-cured tobacco leavesCompared with the control, the SOD content was increased with the organic fertilizer application, and could significantly increase the cold resistance of the tobacco seedling. With the increase of the organic fertilizer, the total chlorophyll content was in the rising trend, the carotenoid content was increased with the organic fertilizer application.3. Effects of the organic fertilizer on the chemical composition and the aroma constituents of the flue-cured tobacco leavesThe main chemical composition of tobacco were effected significantly by the organic fertilizer application, total nitrogen, nicotine content, and improved the ratio of the sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine.4. Effects of the organic fertilizer treatment on the smoking quality of the flue-cured tobacco leavesThe treatment of 900 kg/hm2 organic fertilizer had a better effect for improving the agronomic traits and flavor qualities than all the other treatments.
