Boehmerai nivea L. Gaud is one of the most important phloem fiber crops in China,which has long planting and producing histories in our country. After entering WTO, with the development of market demand and flax spinning, the demand for superior species became more and more urgent. Although we have had a great progress in cultivating new boehmerai species, it seems rather difficult to make a further improvement as it's lack of available germplasm resources, which is the main reason. Besides, there are many problems in ramie breeding, as the genetic background is complicated, the homozygous parents are short, the period in breeding is long, the cultivating of species is difficult and so on. Therefore, to explore, search, conserve and identify the germplasm resources of local boehmerai plays an significant role in improving the breeding level, promoting product development and application, and studying their relationship and origin of our country.The experiment first studied the agronomic characters and morphological characters of 27 local Boehmerai, ? hese varieties are stored in Ramie Germplasm Resources of Jiangxi Province Institute of Agricultural Science in Yichun City.then analysed relevant SSR genetic diversity on these species, and at last analysed the morphological phenotypes on local Boehmerai and formed system clustering tree. The main experimental results are as follow:1. Analysed on the plant height, sterm diameter, skin thickness and fiber fineness of27 Boehmerai species, and got 5 materials that their fiber fineness is Class A;2. From the analysis on the plant height, sterm diameter, skin thickness and fiber fineness, it became clearly that when selecting breeding materials, we should choose big sterm diameter ones to get high fiber fitness species. Choose the ones with suitable plant height, sterm diameter and skin thickness to get high output species.3. The cluster analysis on the morphological characters of 27 species showed that the morphological characters among the same species have little difference.4. Having compared the result of PCR cluster analysis with morphological cluster analysis. Through this experiment, we did not know the relationship between the external morphological characteristics and genetic relationship of ramie.
