There are many reports and articles pointed out that selenium has effects of health care,disease prevention and anti-cancer.As an essential trace element,selenium is participated in the synthesis of a variety of enzymes in the human body and has excellent antioxidant effect.It plays an important role in the human body health.Selenium deficiency may lead to many diseases and increase the probability of cancer,but toxic inorganic selenium can not be directly absorbed by the body.So the Se-enriched food has become the focus of society.Many studies have found that edible fungi has a stronger capacity which is better than leafy vegetables on the transformation and enrichment of selenium.As a common edible mushroom,Pleurotus geesteranus'cultivation technology has been quite mature.It is very suitable to be the carrier of selenium enrichment.This experiment selects three breeds of Pleurotus geesteranus,including "wanxiu no.1","wanxiu no.3" and "rookie 169".The cotton seed shell and bran as the main cultivating material which is added sodium selenite.Seting six concentrations of sodium selenite,named CK(0mg/kg),A(10mg/kg),B(20mg/kg),C(40mg/kg),D(70mg/kg)and E(100mg/kg).Each group is provided with 10 repetitions.In order to find out the optimal concentration of selenium and explore differences Se-enriched characteristics among the breeds of Pleurotus geesteranus,writer conducts studies from the aspects of the growth speed of hypha,cultivation period,yield and biological conversion rate,nutrient composition of geesteranus fruiting bodies,selenium content,etc.Test results are as follows:1.In the range of trial selenium concentration,the mycelium of three breeds Pleurotus geesteranus could grow normally.But the growth potential of the selenium treated group is weaker than that of the CK group.The growth rate is significantly lower than that of CK group.It shown that the selenium element can inhibit the growth of the mycelium.With the increase of concentration,the inhibition enhanced gradually.2?The cultivation period of three species of Pleurotus geesteranus of Se-treated group is longer than that of the CK group.But the low concentration of Se-treated group has no significant difference to the CK group.The treated group with high concentration of selenium is significantly longer than other group.The cultivation period has a positive correlation with the selenium concentration.3.The treatment with low concentration of selenium can significantly improve the Pleurotus geesteranus' yield and the biological efficiency.The treatment with middle concentration of selenium has no significant difference to the CK group.The treatment with high concentration of selenium makes yield significantly reduced compared with the CK group.The maximum yield of the three cultivars appeared in the selenium concentration of 10mg/kg-20mg/kg.4?The water content of geesteranus fruitbodies in Se-treated group decreases significantly compared with the CK group,but it has no obvious change rule.Crude fiber content also is significantly decreased.But the groups of 10mg/kg-20mg/kg selenium concentration decreases significantly compared with other Se-treated groups and shows no significant change trend.The content of soluble sugar which is the highest in 10mg/kg concentration is significantly increased compared with CK group.The content of soluble protein which is the highest in 20mg/kg concentration is significantly increased compared with group CK.In the range of trial selenium concentration,with the increase in the selenium concentration,the content of soluble protein shows a rising trend firstly and then it begins to decline when the selenium concentration reaches 20mg/kg.The content of VC is significantly increased compared with group CK and it shows a obvious increasing trend when the concentration reaches above 40mg/kg.5.The selenium content of geesteranus fruitbodies in Se-treated group is significantly increased compared with the CK group.And it increases linearly with the increase of inorganic selenium concentration.At the same time,"169" breed has a more prominent Se-enriched ability than the other two varieties.6.By comprehensively evaluating three breeds of Pleurotus geesteranus from all the traits,it can be concluded that the optimum concentration of Se-enriched cultivation is 20mg/kg which is added to the formula with 20%wheat bran,78%cottonseed shell,1%lime and 1%gypsum.In addition,the selenium content of geesteranus fruitbodies are pretty high when the selenium concentration of cultivating materials is 70mg/kg.It has a broad prospect that dry powder of geesteranus is used as Se-enriched drug for the clinical research of KBD,KD,cancer and other diseases.
