In this study,we took an evergreen species(Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis) of Agapanthus as the experimental material, configured substrates such as Peat, litter,coconut chaff to different proportion and different fertilization countermeasures of nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium,then studied the impact on the growth and physiology of Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis, the main results were as follows:1. By study on the different physical and chemical properties of the matrix,we found that the physicochemical properties of the matrixT1(peat: litter: coconut chaff: pine bark:sand = : 2:1:1:1:1) and T7(peat: coconut chaff: sand = 2:1:1) were perfectly conform to the requirements of the substrate and they were ideal matrix for Potted seedling of Agapanthus praecox ssp. orientalis, the growth and physiological indexes of seedings planted in these two groups were much higher than the control group,and enjoys the best growth vigour,it can be spreadly used in the application of Potted seedling cultivation of the Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis.2.The growth and physiological indexes of seedings planted in the nine groups of different fertilizer treatments were much higher than the control group, and the influence of the indicators was basically the same. Among them, the potted seedlings of Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis had a good condition in three groups that the molar concentration ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is(150:125:150)?(150:250:200)and(300:375:200), the growth indexes such as the Leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, root diameter, plant fresh weight, dry weight, root water content and the physiological indexes such as the soluble protein content, soluble sugar content, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b content were greatly improved than the control group,these three groups are the Ideal fertilizer treatments of Agapanthus praecox ssp. orientalis;However,the growth of the potted seedlings of Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis was not very good in three groups that the molar concentration ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is(225:125:200)?(300:125:250)and(300:250:150).In the potted seedlings cultivation application of the Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis,we can increase the ratio of the phosphorus and potassium as well as reduce the using of nitrogen fertilizer proportion in the vegetative growth period of the Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis, looking forward to a better growth of the Agapanthus praecox ssp.orientalis in the future.
