Watermelon is one of the world's top ten fruits.In our country,the area and amount of watermelon's production are both the first in the world.As the rising of people's living standard,seedless watermelon has become more and more popular for its high quality.Moreover,compared with diploid watermelon,seedless has higher output and commercial values.The development of seedless watermelon has important significance in adjustment of agriculture industrial structure and increasing farmers' income.At present,there still haven't formed complete set of increasing efficiency cultivation techniques.Therefore,henan agricultural university and henan yuyi seed industry science and technology development co.,LTD.,conducting production-teaching-research combination,breeding for high quality,high yield and seedless watermelon varieties 'new generation No.3' hybrid generation.Traditional way of cultivation is not necessarily apply to all varieties.In order to find the most suitable solution for cultivation and speed up the popularization and application of new varieties,we performed the accelerating germination test,grafting seedling test,and designed fertilization experiment of different density.Also,we further determine the varieties of the 'new generation No.3' main reproductive characteristics.The main research results of this experiment are as follows:1.'new generation No.3' is mid-maturation,black peel seedless watermelon varieties with high shape round,flesh color is red,succulent crisp,high yield,high soluble solid content,excellent quality,no hollow,no white tendons and lumps,no coloring abortive seeds,good toughness,high efficiency,suitable for outdoor medium cultivation.2.Seed clipping or not has a great influence for 'new generation No.3' seedless watermelon seed germination rate.The order of soaking and clipping has no significant difference in improving seed germination rate seed and both have the positive effect.Different seed soaking time have no big impact on the germination rate.Under the two methods of seed clipping processing,the range of 'new generation No.3' seedless watermelon's germination rate is between 84% ~ 96%.3.'new generation No.3' seedless watermelon seed germination potential is affected by seed soaking time and clipping.The suitable time of soaking is 4 ~ 8 h.And no matter how long the soaking time is,seed clipping before soaking is always the best policy.The second one is taking seed soaking before clipping.The Seeds which were only performed by soaking have the lowest germination potential and germination rate.4.90 C,V90,90 A all has compatibility with 'new generation No.3' affinity.V90 and 90 C stock can effectively promote the 'new generation No.3' seedling stage of plant growth and dry matter accumulation.The scion of 90 A is weak in growth and has lower plant height and stem diameter than seedling.As to the Combination of three root stock grafting,only V90 has higher root activity compared with seedling.5.Using different root stock for 'new generation No.3' grafting all has higher rate of production than seedling.The production of V90's scion is 4970kg·hm-2 higher than check treatment which is also significantly higher than other treatments.Although,the production of 90 C and 90A's scion are higher than check treatment,they haven't reached the significant level.Three kinds of grafting combination of 'new generation No.3' has less influence on soluble solids content than control.The results indicated that V90 and 90 A grafting seedless watermelon has the effect on making the skin thickening,and 90 C for grafting 'new generation No.3' is beneficial to reduce the thick skin.90 C and 90 A scions of 'new generation No.3' has no effect on pulp fiber and taste.V90 can make seedless watermelon pulp to harden.Comprehensive,90 C for 'new generation No.3' optimum root stock.6.The results showed that the production of seedless watermelon can be significantly improved by adding soil conditioner;Planting density has a significant effect on yield,the highest yield was obtained at the planting density of 1.5×105 plant·ha-1.A1B3C1 treatment(adding soil conditioner,planting density of 1.5×105 plant·ha-1 and with double cross training)have the highest yield compared with other's treatments.The highest yield was 59 718.75kg·ha-1.The better combinations for average single fruit weight are B1C1A1 and B1C2A1.There is no significant difference between the two and both of them are significantly higher than other combination.Specifically,B1C1A1(add soil condition,planting density of 667 m2 per plant and double cross training)has the highest average fruit weight which is 6.89 kg.7.To sum up,the best suitable cultivation techniques for 'new generation No.3' are as follows:hatched and soaked for 4 to 8 hours,use self-rooted seeding and oil conditioner with the density of 667m2 per plant,choose cultivation model of double crossing.
