In order to understand the safety of transgenic Bt rice on zooplankton community in paddy fields. The safety evaluation experiment in 3-consecutive-year was conducted by using the transgenic Cry1Ab/Ac rice ‘Huahui No. 1'(HH1 for short) as Bt rice material and the non-transgenic parent rice ‘Minghui63'(MH63 for short) as the control treatment in Xiangtan in Hunan province and Nanchang in Jiangxi province. The Zooplankton community in paddy fields was used as bio- indicator. This paper studied the effects of Cry1Ab/Ac rice on species composition, species similarity, species richness, individual number, dominance, indexes of diversity, evenness and dominant concentration of zooplankton community and it's sub-community of dominant species via field trials consecutive. At the same time, the effects of insecticide application and HH1 paddy fields on the species diversity of zooplankton communities were studied. The main results are as follows: 1?Effects of transgenic Cry1Ab/Ac rice on the species diversity of zooplanktoncommunity in paddy fields in XiangtanThe results of field tests for three consecutive years showed that the similarity coefficient of species composition of zooplankton community in HH1 and MH63 paddy fields is higher than 0.7000 and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.8889. Whether the analyses being the total or temporal dynamics, the parameters of zooplankton community such as the indexes of species richness, individual number, diversity, evenness and dominance in HH1 paddy fields in 2012,2013 and 2014 displayed the almost equal values and similar trends comparied with those in MH63 paddy fields and no significant difference were observed.4 dominant species were collected in four samples in 2012, and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.8571. 5 dominant species were collected in four samples in 2013, and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.8571. 5 dominant species were collected in four samples in 2014, and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.4000. 2?Effects of transgenic Cry1Ab/Ac rice HH1 and MH63+ on the species diversity ofzooplankton community in paddy fields in XiangtanThe results of field tests for three consecutive years showed that there were significant differences between individual and total individuals in MH63+ paddy field, which was lower than HH1 in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and species richness, diversity index, evenness index and dominance index were significantly different. 3?Effects of transgenic Cry1Ab/Ac rice on the species diversity of zooplanktoncommunity in paddy fields in NanchangThe results of field tests for three consecutive years showed that the similarity coefficient of species composition of zooplankton community in HH1 and MH63 paddy fields is higher than 0.8462 and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.7692. Whether the analyses being the total or temporal dynamics, the parameters of zooplankton community such as the indexes of spec ies richness, individual number, diversity, evenness and dominance in HH1 paddy fields in 2012,2013 and 2014 displayed the almost equal values and similar trends comparied with those in MH63 paddy fields and no significant difference were observed.3 dominant species were collected in four samples in 2012, and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.8000. 6 dominant species were collected in four samples in 2013, and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher t han 0.8571. 8 dominant species were collected in four samples in 2014, and the similarity coefficient of the dominant species is higher than 0.6000. 4?Effects of transgenic Cry1Ab/Ac rice HH1 and MH63+ on the species diversity ofzooplankton community in paddy fields in NanchangThe results of field tests for three consecutive years showed that there were significantly different of community structure characteristic parameter in MH63+ paddy field, which was lower than HH1 in 2012, 2013 and 2014, species richness, individual quantity, diversity index, evenness index and dominance index.
