As a cross-pollination plant,blue honeysuckle has relatively low rate of self-pollinated.Selecting the appropriate pollinated varieties has an important impact on the yield and quality of the main cultivars in the commercial cultivation.Some common problems such as inappropriate choice of pollination varieties and the pollination trees are insufficient exist and so on.These problems reduce the yield and quality of blue honeysuckle.Configuring a certain proportion of special Pollination tree has become one of the important technologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of production of blue honeysuckle in some foreign commercial orchards.The experiment began in April 2015,flowering investigation began in late April.pollinate at the end of April and fruit picking began on June 13,and then fruit weight,transverse and longitudinal diameter and internal content were measured.The purpose of this study is to select the Variety of Pollination Tree of ‘Bud',which Contribute to improving the efficiency of breeding and cultivation techniques,and thereby providing a basis of reference to the breeding to blue honeysuckle.Pollination research is to improve the pollination rates of this species.Discussion on the issue of pollination affinity will provide basis of future work to carry out cross-breeding.This research present opinion on the the selection of pollination tree and the cultivation and management in fields,and it has important significance to increase the rate of pollination and seed-setting.A new variety of blue honeysuckle ‘Bud',some varieties of other countries and some wild species were used as material in the experimental.Investigating the florescence,collating the pollen and testing the pollen viability and compatibility of the other varieties.And then pollenating‘Bud' with other varieties respectively.Analyzing the pollen characteristics and the effect on the quality of ‘Bud' that we could screen out special pollinated varieties systematically.The main results of the study are as follows:1.Survey showed that there are some differences in the flowering,pollen germination and after pollination of blue honeysuckle ‘Bud' fruit set rate of 16 pollination cultivars.Through the experimental investigation into fruit set for ‘bud' after pollination concluded:Fruit rate for 3-96%,among the highest rate of sitting was Bluebird pollinated cultivars,fruit set rate of up 96%.The pollinated varieties of fruit setting rate that more than 45%: A1,A2,A3,A4,A5,HL-10,Bluebird,MC-1,MC-3,Wlid-4,Wlid-6.Varietise of fruit sitting rate for the lowest rate is HL-5 and HL-9.Through the determination of titratable acid content,the acid content is low varieties are: HL-2,L-6,HL-10,HL-12,A1,A5,Wild-4,Wild-6.The varieties of high sugar and and acid are :L-2,HL-4,HL-6,HL-12,A1,A2,A3,A4,A5,MC-1.2.Based on the investigation of the fruit setting rate of each variety,all varieties from the flower fruit set rate of 0 ~ 8%,indicating that the blue fruit Lonicera self-incompatibility,not suitable for planting a single species,should be configured with appropriate pollination tree.3.We measured the storability of Bluebird and‘Bud' pollen,and found that the pollen was almost completely lost after two months in the room temperature.At 4 ?,the pollen viability was about 15% after 4 months.At-20 ?,the pollen almost completely loss vitality after 6 months.The storage of pollen can be used to pollinate flower buds that are earlier than the buds of the buds,and can be applied to a large number of artificial pollinations.4.The rate of pollen germination of all the pollinated varieties was determined and could select germination rate of the higher varieties.The pollen germination rate of A1 and Bluebird were above90%.The germination rate of A1,A4,Bluebird,HL-10,L4,L5 and the like more than 85%.5.In flowering to meet the basic conditions,tested varieties,with the encounter pollinated varieties flowering varieties.Based on the synchronization of flowing,in these varieties,meet the synchronization of flowing with the pollination varieties are: Japanese varieties 1,2,3,4,5,HL-2,HL-3,HL-4,HL-6,HL-9,HL-10,HL-11,HL-12,MC-1,MC-3,Wild-2,Wild-3,Wild-4,Wild-6,L4,L5.The varieties of Bluebird,A1,A3,MC-1 have long time of the synchronization of flowing with‘Bud',using them pollinating with ‘Bud' and found that the amount of flowers was large and content of abundant pollen,the germination rate of the pollen was high and the rate of fruit-set reached more than 80%.Larger signal nut wight larger :0.74 g,0.79 g,0.91 g,0.82 g,lower titratable acid content: 2942.64,3432.72,3587.31,3259.85,higher soluble sugar content: 9364.78,9508.68,7979.92,8346.52,respectively.So concluded that these varieties can be used as a special pollinated varieties of blue honeysuckle in the field.6.The result of the pollination experiment with the blue honeysuckle showed that cross-pollination had a significant effect on fruit weight,fruit appearance quality and soluble solids content of fruit buds blue honeysuckle,titratable acid content,firmness,inherent quality etc.,there may be Xenia Effect.
