With the rapid development of China's agricultural economy, the demand of high-powered tractor is increase. The reliability of the tractor is crucial, it directly affects the efficiency of farming and the economic benefits of farmers. High-powered tractor reliability ascension is closely connected with the ascension of components reliability. Universal joints shaft is the critical part of the tractor front steering drive axle, its reliability directly affects the reliability of the tractor. How to promote universal joints shaft reliability become a tractor reliability, one of the key subject of ascension. Through the torsional fatigue experiment and mud bench test conclusion: the power drive axle of the universal joints shaft fracture failure forms mainly seal failure and parts. This type of fault current in this kind of drive axle is high, to improve its reliability, we need to identify the universal joints shaft fracture, and to strengthen or improve it. Through research and analysis of the failure modes, finite element analysis and process optimization, the cross shaft structure of the universal joints shaft, bearing seal form, machining and assembly process is optimized, finally determines the new product model. Through the static torsion experiment and fatigue experiment and the experiment to improve the effect of the case well, results show that the improved effectively. Reached by improving the universal joints shaft reliability to increase high-powered 4 wd tractor reliability purposes.
