Holcocerus vicarius Walker, belongs to Lepidoptera, Cossidae,widely distributed in most areas in China, mainly damages the trunks and roots fo Ulmus pumila L?Robinia pseudoacacia L?Salixbabylonica etc. Holcocerus vicarius Walkers are a group of important borer pests of broadleaf tree.We designed and assembled a system of simple nitrogen purging, choosed suitable elution solvent, nitrogen flow rate, heating temperature. The results:the adsorption tube was filled with 100 mg PoraPakTM Q adsorption agent,5ml Acetone and 5ml Hexane is used as elution solvent, nitrogen flow is 80mLˇmin-1, activation temperature is 200?, activation time is 30min. So we build up the rapid and low-cost activation method of the PoraPakTM Q adsorption for analysis of plant volatiles.Cyclic dynamic adsorption for the extraction the volatiles of Ulmus pumila trunk about 1-1.5m above the ground; Solid-phase microextraction(SPME) for analysis the volatiles from Ulmus pumila, Robinia pseudoacacia, Salixbabylonica bark samples;and subsequently analyzed by gas-chromatography/mass-spectrometry. The results:A total of 57 compounds were attained by the two methods from Ulmus pumila,including 17 alkenes,8 ether,7 alcohols,6 esters,4 aldehydes,4 acids,3 ketones, and 8 others.10 Common compounds were found in the two approaches, The corrected relative proportion in a-Ocimene, D-Limonene, Decanal, a-Cubebene, Copaene, a-Calacorene, Hexadecane, Nonadecane, 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylicacid-bis(2-methylpropyl)-ester is 1,2.656,0.284,0.541,0.371,0.093, 0.140,0.209 and 0.081; 25 compounds were identified from Salix babylonica bark volatiles including 9 alkenes,6 esters,5 alcohols,1 aldehydes,1 acids,1 alkanes,2 aromatic hydrocarbons;30 compounds were attained from Robinia pseudoacacia including 10 alcohols,6 alkenes,2 alkanes,2 aldehydes,1 esters,1 acids,1 ketones,4 others,the volatiles of Ulmus pumila as the main factors,combined the common compounds of three hosts, because that we chose 15 kinds of volatiles as the Preliminary screening objects.the results of L16<215) Orthogonal Analysis is The EAG relative reaction rate of Dodecanea,D-Limonene,Methyl salicylate, p-Cymen-7-ol, a-Terpineol,Eucalyptus alcohol,Benzothiazole is very significant. the results of UM16*(167) percentage table of uniform design tell us when the the percent content of Dodecanea, D-Limonene,Methyl salicylate, p-Cymen-7-ol,a-Terpineol,Eucalyptus alcohol,Benzothiazole is 0.05%,3.14% and 3.59%,1.17%, 0.07%,0.62% 0.09%.Holcocerus vicarius Walker in the wind tunnel experiment reached to maximum relative reaction rate.
