Drying is an important production link after harvest of rapeseed, and the quality and safe storage of rapeseed are directly affected by the effect of drying. Studying the characteristics of rapeseed drying and the optimization of rapeseed drying parameters are of great importance to improve the drying efficiency, improve the rapeseed quality after drying and reduce energy consumption of drying operation. For the problems that are shortage of special automated equipments and complexity of test procedures at present, a new testing equipment of rapeseed drying characteristics was developed on account of the method of total weight detection. The main contents are as following:(1) Based on total weight detection, online measure method of rapeseed moisture content was studied, and on this basis the testing platform was built out and analytical test of application results was conducted. The results showed that the error of moisture content measurement was less than 0.95%.(2) The mechanical structure of testing equipment was designed. The funnel type was adopted in the equipment body, the design capacity was 35 liters, and internal agitation equipment was installed.(3) The system of locale data acquisition and operating parameter control of testing equipment was developed on account of RS485 bus. Lower computer adopted STM32 Single Chip Computer, upper computer used PC,PC software was developed on account of Visual Studio platform. Dates on rapeseed weight, temperature of the drying medium, rapeseed temperature, penetration winds, and real-time energy consumption could be continuously collected and recorded in the process of drying, and the operating parameter was real-timely and accurately controlled through the system.(4) Based on the fuzzy control theory, the control algorithm of drying medium temperature was designed, and the table of fuzzy control rule was concluded through trial and error. Application effect showed that the error of temperature control was less than 1?.(5) Taking rapeseeds as the object, production tests have been carried out, and the typical process which rapeseed drying characteristics were analyzed by using the test system was simulated.Application effect showed that the automatic test equipment of rapeseed drying characteristics had advantages on easy to use, quick, good continuity of data collection, high control precision, etc, which provided a new equipment of high efficiency and precision to researches of rapeseed drying characteristics.
