Ecosystem sensitivity, which explains that how difficult or easy about the problem of ecosystem and environment, refers to the reflection of human's disturbances and natural changes in the ecological system. The higher the ecosystem sensitivity is,the more easily that the ecological system will be damaged. The region, which the sensitive degree is high, should be the focus of the protection and restoration, also should be the area restricted or prohibited by human.Making ecosystem sensitivity assessment can analyse the ecological and environmental problems, guide human activities, and;finally promote the protection of the ecosystem and environment. The domestic study on ecosystem sensitivity mainly selected the natural factor as indicators, rarely considered the factor of human being. And study on the scale, basically focused on province, city or district, has not had the sensitivity assessment of soil and water conservation district. In this paper, considering the natural and man-made two factors, constructs the index system of ecosystem sensitivity assessment in Jiangsu Province.By using the improved AHP to determine the weight of each index, based on GIS spatial analysis function, the 250m*250m grid as a unit, through the way of the weighted sum,the research conducts a comprehensive ecosystem sensitivity assessment in Jiangsu Province. Then combining with the assessment results, the study evaluates each area of the regionalization of soil and water conservation in Jiangsu Province. The main results are as follows:(1)Comprehensive assessment of ecosystem sensitivity in Jiangsu province is divided into four levels.Respectively, the four levals are insensitive, low sensitive, moderately sensitive and highly sensitive. The ecosystem sensitivity level of Jiangsu Province is mainly in low and moderately sensitive state. And the insensit, ive, low sensitive, moderately sensitive and highly sensitive areas occupied 14.35%.43.13%,30.39%and 12.12%.(2)The ecosystem sensitivity assessment about the nineteen regions of soil and water conservation in Jiangsu Province is ranked from low to high:the 7 District, the 8 District, the 19 District, the 18 District, the 9 District, the 12 District, the 4 District, the 5 District;the 10 District, the 6 District, the 14 District, the 1 District, the 15 District, the 11 District, the 2 District, the 3 District, the 16 District and the 17 District.Among them, there are seven sensitive regions, twelve moderate regions. On the selection of indicators, the ecosystem sensitivity assessment in Jiangsu Province, trying to join the anthropogenic factor, can basically reflects the characteristics of Jiangsu, which the population density is high, human disturbances are intensive, and the construction activities are extremely strong. And it can provide references for other economic developed provinces. In terms of the scale, the study evalues the ecosystem sensitivity of the nineteen regions of soil and water conservation in Jiangsu Province.Combining with the basic function of soil and water conservation and the sensitivity assessment, the research can be used as an important basis of the soil and water conservation work, and can provide a scientific reference for the planning of soil and water conservation in Jiangsu Province.
