Species Identification Of Cestodes And Nemotodes In Some Birds From Shanghai

To investigate the prevalence of parasites in birds in Shanghai,117 individuals of cestodes were examined from wild birds belonged to 11 species and 19 individuals of nemotodes were found in 9 species wild birds from 2012 to 2014.In order to identify the species of them,we selected all of them for morphological identification.It showed that 15 birds' s 57 tapeworms could be identified into 7 species,allocating to 3 families and 4 genera.Among those,only 3species can be positioned to actual species: Anonchotaenia globata Linstow,1879(1).Anonchotaenia orionlina Cholodkowsky,1906(1).and Raillietina fragilis Meggitt,1931(34),Others can only be allocated to genus,including 1 species of Hymenolepis(5),2 species of Anonchotaenia(11 and 3,seperately),and 1 species belongs to Paruterina(2).It is first reported on species of cestodes in wild birds from shanghai.Here are 7 species of cestodes in total below:1.Anonchotaenia globata Linstow,18792.Anonchotaenia sp.13.Anonchotaenia sp.24.Anonchotaenia orionlina Cholodkowsky,19065.Paruterina sp.16.Hymenolepis sp.17.Raillietina fragilis Meggitt,1931To comfirm our consequences in morphological identification,we analysed a part of short sequence both 18 S rRNA and cox1(cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1)of all individuals.Based on the molecular techniques,phylogenetic trees were constructed seperately.Showing that the results of molecular techniques are consistent with the results of morphology.On the other hand,13 individuals of nemotodes in 10 birds were identified into 4species that are allocated to 3 orders,3 families,and 4 genera.including Diplotriaena nochti Hoeppli & Hsu,1929(6).Diplotriaena leiperi Anderson,1959(2).Ganguleterakis sp(4)and Cordonema sp(1).All species of nemotodes we got from birds are reported in Shanghai for the first time.Here 4 species of nemotodes are described :1.Diplotriaena nochti Hoeppli & Hsu,19292.Diplotriaena leiperi Anderson,19593.Ganguleterakis sp4.Cordonema spThe species and geographic distributions of cestodes from wild birds in china are given at the last chapter of the paper.177 species that belong to 60 genera,10 families and 2 orders are sorted in this checklist.Providing basic information on species and geographic distributions of cestodes from wild birds in China.
