This Alxa gobi and desert camel were selected to research and find its the significant difference in the amount of meat production using measurements of body and slaughtering performance of determination,observation of muscle fiber traits,analysis of bioinformatics,protein expression of MSTN gene techniques.The camels were divided into 6 dental age,dental age 8,10 dental age three groups,6 gobi camels and 6 desert camels were allocated each group and measured the body sizes,slaughter performances and made slices observation of biceps femoris muscle,longissimus dorsi and arm triceps after slaughtered.Longissimus dorsi DNA samples of dental age 8 camels were extracted and spliced MSTN gene with the primers of MSTN pig(ID:EF490990.1)and got proteins of samples.The amount of protein expression was determined by Western Blot techniques.The results of comparative study of Gobi and desert camel body measurements and slaughtering performance showed that age of 6?8 teeth of various body measurements and slaughtering performance indexes have grown significantly(P<0.05)and that of between 8-10 dental age were not changed significantly(P>0.05).However,in the same dental aged camels,the body height,body length,liveweight,carcass weight,net meat weight and dressing percent of gobi is 4 ±2 cm(P<0.05),5±3cm(P<0.01),50± 10 kg(P<0.05),60±20kg(P<0.05)and 60±30 kg(P<0.01)more than the desert camel.The researches of the muscle fiber characteristics indicated that the average diameter of muscle fiber(55?m)and the cross-sectional area(2024?m2)of the desert camels were significantly greater(P<0.05)than the gobi camel average diameter of muscle fiber(48?m)and the cross-sectional area of(1760?m2).While the muscle fiber average density of the gobi camel(315 n/mm2)was significantly greater(P<0.05)than that(295 n/mm2)of the desert camel.The results of Alxa bactrian camel MSTN gene sequence splicing showed that MSTN gene was 7.3 KBP,the first,the second and the third exon districts were 1?581 bp,2384?2757 bp,4800?6737 bp.The CDS mutation of G?A and T?C sites were found in the Gobi camels while the desert camel and most of mammals are G in 696bp site and T in 741 bp of CDS.Comparing the expression trends of the 8 dental aged gobi and desert camel MSTN,the results showed that the MSTN expression of the gobi was higher than that of the desert camel.In conslusion,the best slaughter age of Alxa bactrian camel was 8 tooth age,usually the yields of the meat was positively correlated with body sizes,gobi desert camel meat is bigger than the desert camel is directly related to the density of muscle fiber.And the MSTN gene may have mutated during evolution.
