Acer palmatum "Orange Dream" is an excellent landscape tree with high aesthetic value.But in China,the propagation has become a major factor to restrict its popularization and development in the garden.It is not ideal for seed propagation and cutting propagation.Therefore,grafting has become the main propagation method of Acer palmatum "Orange Dream".In the process of grafting propagation,the excellent rootstock is the key factor to ensure the survival of grafting.In this experiment,Acer palmatum atropurpureum as rootstock by the hormone treatment,was grafted with Acer palmatum "Orange Dream".It was aimed to provide basic theory and technical support for Acer palmatum "Orange Dream" as grafting scion to find the excellent rootstock and shorten the breeding time of rootstock.at the same time,it was researched on growth and physiological characteristics of grafting of Acer palmatum Thunb seedlings with PP333 and GA3 treated and Acer palmatum "Orange Dream".The results are as follows:(1)Effect of different hormone treatment on the diameter of Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlingsOnly GA3 treatments had significant inhibition effect on the diameter of Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings,and 400mg/L GA3 had the best inhibition,compared with the CK,it had no effect;but the diameter growth was significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only,and 400mg/L PP333 was the best,compared with the CK,the diameter growth,4.48 mm,was increased 20.11%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,500mg/L PP333 and 200mg/L GA3 and 500mg/L PP333 and 600mg/L GA3 were the best treatments to significantly promote the diameter growth,the diameter grown was respectively 4.63mm、4.65 mm,compared with the CK incresed 24.13%、24.66%.(2)Effect of different hormone treatment on the plant height of Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlingsIt was the best treatment with 800mg/L GA3 to significantly promote the plant height of Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings,compared with the CK,the height growth,55.5cm,was increased 95.42%.but it had significantly inhibition effect on the plant height,and 400mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,the height grown,7.8cm,was decreased significantly 72.54%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,500mg/L PP333 and 200mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote the plant height,compared with the CK,the height growth,72.0cm,was increased 153.52%.(3)Effect of different hormone treatment on the soluble protein content in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leavesThe soluble protein content in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leaves decreased significantly with only GA3 treatments,and 600mg/L GA3 was the best to inhibit the soluble protein content,compared with the CK,the soluble protein content,16.11mg/g,was decreased significantly 43.63%.but it was significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only,and 300mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,the soluble protein content,40.81mg/g,was increased 43.19%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,200mg/L PP333 and 600mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote he soluble protein content,compared with the CK,the soluble protein content,41.36mg/g,was increased 45.12%.(4)Effect of different hormone treatment on the soluble sugar content in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leavesOnly GA3 treatments had significant inhibition effec on the soluble sugar content in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leaves,and 600mg/L GA3 was the best to inhibit the soluble sugar content,compared with the CK,decreased significantly 70.11%.but it was significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only,and 500mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,increased 69.79%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,500mg/L PP333 and 200mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote the soluble sugar,compared with the CK,increased 102.77%.(5)Effect of different hormone treatment on the chlorophyll content in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leavesOnly GA3 treatments had significant inhibitory effect on the chlorophyll content in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leaves,and 600mg/L GA3 was the best to inhibit the chlorophyll content,compared with the CK,the chlorophyll content,1.97mg/g,was decreased significantly 38.05%.but it was significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only,and 300mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,the chlorophyll content,4.39mg/g,was increased significantly 38.05%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,400mg/L PP333 and 200mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote the chlorophyll content,compared with the CK,the chlorophyll content,4.53mg/g,was increased significantly 42.45%.(6)Effect of different hormone treatment on the SOD activity in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leavesThe low GA3 concentration had no obvious effect on the SOD activity in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leaves,but the high concentration had significantly inhibitory effect on SOD activity.and 600mg/L GA3 was the best to inhibit the SOD activity,compared with the CK,decreased significantly 29.30%.it was significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only,and 300mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,increased significantly 46.57%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,300mg/L PP333 and 200mg/L GA3 and 300mg/L PP333 and 600mg/L GA3 were the best treatments to significantly promote the diameter growth,compared with the CK,incresed 34.91%、35.39%.(7)Effect of different hormone treatment on the POD activity in Acer palmatum atropurpureum seedlings leavesThe POD activity was significantly promoted with the GA3 treatments only,and 800mg/L GA3 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,increased significantly 159.48%.At the same time,it was also significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only,and 400mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,increased significantly 246.64%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,400mg/L PP333 and 1000mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote the POD activity,compared with the CK,increased significantly 343.33%.(8)Effect of different hormone treatment onto Acer palmatum Thunb on grafting survival rate of Acer palmatum ThunbGrafting survival rate was significantly promoted with the GA3 treatments only Acer palmatum Thunb,and 400mg/L GA3 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,grafting survival rate,75.00%,was increased significantly 94.71%.At the same time,it was also significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only on Acer palmatum Thunb,and 100mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,grafting survival rate,85.46%,was increased significantly 121.74%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,100mg/L PP333 and 400mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote grafting survival rate,compared with the CK,grafting survival rate,90.34%,was increased significantly 134.41%.(9)Effect of different hormone treatment onto Acer palmatum Thunb on the length of shoots of grafted plantsThe length of shoots of grafted plants was significantly promoted with the GA3 treatments only onto Acer palmatum Thunb,and 400mg/L GA3 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,the length,16.3cm,was increased significantly 10.14%.At the same time,the low PP333 concentration had significantly inhibition,but the high PP333 concentration had significantly inhibitory effect on the length of shoots of grafted plants,and 200mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,the length,17.0cm,was increased significantly 14.86%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,400mg/L PP333 and 1000mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote the length of shoots of grafted plants,compared with the CK,the length,22.5cm,was increased significantly 52.03%.(10)Effect of different hormone treatment onto Acer palmatum Thunb on the stem diameter of shoots of grafted plantsThe stem diameter of shoots of grafted plants was significantly promoted with the GA3 treatments only onto Acer palmatum Thunb,and 800mg/L GA3 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,the stem diameter,1.56 mm,was increased significantly 56.00%.At the same time,the stem diameter of shoots of grafted plants was significantly promoted with the PP333 treatments only onto Acer palmatum Thunb,and 100mg/L PP333 was the best treatment,compared with the CK,tthe stem diameter,1.66 mm,was increased significantly 66.00%.In the two kinds of hormone combinations,200mg/L PP333 and 400mg/L GA3 and 300mg/L PP333 and 800mg/L GA3 was the best treatment to significantly promote the length of shoots of grafted plants,compared with the CK,the stem diameter,1.88mm、1.90 mm,was respectively increased significantly 88.00%、90.00%.In conclusion,200mg/L PP333 and 400mg/L GA3 combination is the best to have significant promotion on the diameter,plant height of Acer palmatum Thunb and grafted survival rate.the hormone combination significantly promot the soluble sugar content,soluble protein content,chlorophyll content,SOD activity,POD activity in the leaves of Acer palmatum Thunb,the length and stem diameter of shoots of grafted plants.it can promot the diameter growth of Acer palmatum Thunb quickly to reduce the grafting time with the treatment.At the same time,The grafting survival rate is also guaranteed.It is the best hormone combination in the popularization and application of Acer palmatum "Orange Dream".
