Through investigation of the colored-leaf trees application in Shanghai, it's discivered that the growth of colored-leaf trees Aceraceae plants is bad, and the leaves appear various degree parched or kraurosis under heat stress during summer. As a result, these phenomena affect the application of the colored-leaf inevitably in the city. At present, new species Acer palmatum Bloodgood' have been introduced. However its leaf color expression and adaptability in Shanghai will determine its application prospect in Shanghai. The adaptability of Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' in Shanghai is discussed in this paper by the following studies, the influence of high temperature stress on protective enzyme, physiological & biochemical index of correlation and the influence of different treatments of fertilization on its growth. The satisfied results from this study will guide scientific application of colored-leaf trees.1. Through the investigation of colored-leaf trees application in Shanghai, it's discivered that there are 94 species and 37 families in landscape greenbelt. In the recent years , 55species and 25 families have been introduced in the recent years.2. The influence of high temperature stress on the leaves appearance is different . The leaves of Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' appear various degrees of parched under 24-hour lasting high temperature treatment of 35℃ and less 40℃.New buds lose livingness at 40℃.3. The influence of high temperature stress on physiological & biochemical index indicated that the enzyme activies changes of SOD and POD show the same trend. That meaned SOD and POD energetically participate in recovery when Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' suffers high temperature stress .But lasting high treatment disorder the natural physiological enginery. The change of Pro content indicated that 40℃ high temperature affect growth.4. The studies on the correlation between treatment temperature and the rate of injured cell indicated that the high semi-lethal temperature of Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' is 51.79℃.5. The influence of high temperature stress on the Parameter of Chlorophyll fluorescence showed that high temperature stress can inhibit PS II activities or make LHC II and PS II separated. But after the treatment lasting some hours, the heat stability of PS II response center could increase. High temperature stress reduced photochemical quenching and increased Non-photochemical quenching.6. The influence of different treatments of fertilization on growth indicated that it had a remarkable correlation on the height of Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood', using 120mg/kg nitrogenous fertilizer carbamide could promote the height growth of Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood'; The length of branch and N content of the leaves wasn't obvious; Using...
