Canadian sugar maple(Acer saccharum Marsh)is not only colorful and dense, but also has aspecial health care value for maple syrup extracted from its sap.In this paper, the asexual propagation of A.saccharum, the following results were obtained.1.The tissue culture of Acer sugar maple,a single factor test design method, was used to induce the callus from different disinfection methods, different medium types and different kinds of hormones. The results showed that the best disinfection method was 75 % alcohol 30 s + 0.1 % HgCl2,which could reduce the pollution rate to6.70 % and the germination rate was 93.3 % The best medium was ms medium;6-BA and NAA are the best combination of induction hormone.2.The optimal sampling time of Acer sugar maple was from April to may, which had the lowest pollution rate and shorter time.3.In the course of tissue culture, the callus induction rate of the stem segment of Acer sugar maple reached 76.7 %,much higher than that of the leaves. However, the callus began to degenerate to death after subculture for 4 times, because it was more difficult to differentiate and sprout.4.The cutting experiment of Acer sugar maple showed that the first ten days of June were the optimal time for softwood cutting of Acer sugar maple The experimental results show that1000mg·L-1indole butyric acid(IBA)is the best treatment for 5min in the sandy soil.5.The grafting experiment of Acer sugar maple showed that, with Acer serrulatum and red as stock, grafting and budding in spring and autumn respectively showed that Acer Acer negundo Linn as rootstock, branch grafting in autumn, and high survival rate of small arched shed and heat preservation measures.
