A Preliminary Study On Compound Inflorescence And Fruiting Habit Of Cherry Tomato

In this paper,cherry tomatos as the main research object,by studying of cherry tomatos' physiological data,contrast the differences between the phenological period,plant morphology,fruit yield and quality.First we screened out 4 excellent compound inflorescence tomato varieties S1,S2,S4,S7,there are short time to mature or non easy cracking or high soluble solids conten,there accounted for 50% of compound inflorescence tomato varieties;second,we have screened out 8 excellent characters non-compound inflorescence tomato varieties S9,S13,S14,S16,S19,S25,S27,S29.On the other hand,By comparing the relationship between the inflorescence development traits and other character traits of common cherry tomatos,the results showed that compound inflorescence cherry tomatos have the higher number of flowering plants,the higher number of fruit,the longer mature time,and there was no significant effect on plant morphology.In order to verify the correlation between inflorescence type traits and other traits of cherry tomatos,we use compound inflorescence mutant population materials for re verification,the above conclusions are verified.In addition,also get the conclusion of compound inflorescence material were low percentage of fertile fruit and low fruit quality.Maybe it is due to compound inflorescence mutant material have a large number of flower that consumption of a large number of nutrients.
