Xinjiang is located in the northwest border of the People's Republic of China.The unique environmental conditions contribute to the growth of high quality of seeding-watermelon.Successfully achieving the largest planting area,and ranking first in nationwide seeding-watermelon production.At present,the process of harvesting the seeding-watermelon is mainly based on artificial stacking operations,which scattered the seeding-watermelon together into a line,to facilitate the late picking works.Especially in the seeding-watermelon harvest season,some bulk crops such as cotton and corn simultaneously are busy farming,which leads a huge labor demand,and seriously hampered the future to further increase the area of seeding-watermelon planting.The primary work of mechanized harvest for the seeding-watermelon is stacking operation.However,the problem for the exciting setting machine with bad gather effect,high damage rate and high machinery fault is absents.Thus,a low damage rate,low machinery fault and the development of functional integrity for a new setting machine of the seeding-watermelon is developed based on computer aided design software.In the improving process of old setting machine,the works with modeling,simulation and analysis is performed.In this paper,the following research is carried out:1.The structure characteristics of setting machine,both at home and abroad,are analyzed by means of consultation of literature.The advantages and disadvantages of the existing setting machine is systematically researched to carry out a test of material characteristics by combining the planting pattern and agronomic acquirement.If the damage rate declines to 5% and thus extrusion force from spiral vane to the seeding-watermelon not exceed 280 N.Ultimately,the design scheme for the setting machine is determined,and the working principle and working process of this machine are investigated.2.The working parameters and structural characteristics of this device are determined.Then,the design of structural characteristics and selection principles is completed in order to design the spiral conveyer and the transmission mechanism of this device.Meanwhile,the spiral conveyer is mechanically modeled,and the effect of its speed and extrusion force of blade on the transposition process for the seeding-watermelon is analyzed.Finally,the analysis of the theory and design for the hydraulic control system is studied and each component of hydraulic is also calculated and selected.3.Modeling software Solidworks2014 is used to model and virtual assemble for the setting machine.When rotational speed of the spiral conveyer by field investigation simulated analysis not exceed 250 r/min,the damage rate is lower and harvesting efficiency is higher.Software ANSYS is used to perform the modal analysis and static mechanics analysis.Results of modal frequency between 22.3 to 72.8Hz and without vibration between resonance frequency and rack are obtained.Software ADAMS is performed to a dynamics simulation for the spiral conveyer and the transmission mechanism,and the rationality of this whole machine design is validated.
