The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of high forage content diets on performance, fur density, slaughter performance, serum biochemical indexes, immune index, serum digestive Index,AKP activity, diarrhea and mortality rate in finish period Rex rabbit.Thirty 110-days-old healthy Rex rabbit were randomly divided into 3 groups,10 rabbits in each group(half male and half female).Group 1 was control, rabbits were fed with basal diet;Group 2 rabbits were fed with 85% basal diet + 15% local meal;Group 3 rabbits were fed with 70% basal diet + 30% local meal. The adaptation period was 7days and the treatment period was 30 days.Compared with the group 1,animal body weight, average daily gain, average daily feed intake, body condition score in group 3 were increased(P<0.05),animal body weight, average daily gain, average daily feed intake in group 2 were increased(P<0.05),the ratio of feed to gain in group 2 and group 3 was reduced(P>0.05).The results showed that weed grass powder could promote the performance and reduce the weight gain ratio of rabbit.Compared with the group 1,fur densities on back, waist, left shoulder and right shoulder in group 3 were increased(P<0.05);Compared with the group 2,fur densities on back, waist, right shoulder were increased(P<0.05).This study shows that 30% of the weed replacement ratio can improve the density of rabbit.Compared with group 1,live weight and carcass weight in group 3 were increased(P<0.05);Slaughter rate,Half eviscerated slaughter rate,All eviscerated slaughter rate were increased(P>0.05);Compared with the group 2,live weight, carcass weight Slaughter rate,Half eviscerated slaughter rate and All eviscerated slaughter rate in group 3 were increased(P>0.05).The results showed that the addition of different proportions of weeds could increase the slaughter performance of rabbit.Compared with group 1,TP and ALB in group 3 were increased(P<0.05);GLB,A/G and IgG were increased(P>0.05);Compared with the group 2,TP in group 3 was increased(P<0.05).The results showed that weeds improved the immune function of rabbit.Compared with the group 1,spleen index and IgA in group 3 were increased(P<0.05),liver index was decreased(P>0.05);Compared with the group 2,spleenindex and IgA in group 3 were increased(P>0.05),liver index was decreased(P>0.05).Experiments show that weeds can promote the development of animal organ immune organs and enhance the immune function of rabbit.Compared with the group 1,duodenum weight and jejunum weight in group 3were increased(P<0.05),stomach specific gravity and Ileum specific gravity were increased(P>0.05);Compared with the group 2,stomach specific gravity, duodenum weight, jejunum weight,Ileum specific gravity were increased(P>0.05).Compared with the group 1,AKP in group 3 was decreased(P>0.05);Compared with the group 2,AKP in group 3 was decreased(P>0.05).The AKP activity in the three experimental groups was decreased with the increased of native grass(P>0.05).There were no diarrhea deaths in the three test groups. In summary, the present results showed that the performance of rabbit can be improved when animal was fed with a high forage content diet in finish period.
