In this study we review the geographical distribution,biological characteristics and adaptation in water environment of mandarin fish(Siniperca chuatosi),which was is one of the most important commercial aquaculture species in China.Author summarized key cultivation technology of the mandarin fish breeding,and also provided a solid theoretical basis for improving our understanding of mandarin fish aquaculture.On this basis,author developed highly efficient cultivation technique of mandarin fish,effective microorganism(EM),production and application of special fishing nets,and application of HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)system on mandarin fish aquaculture.With the large-scale demonstration and application,these achievements can integrated to form the highly efficient cultivation technique in mandarin fish ponds,which promote the sustainable development of mandarin fish farming industry in Chuzhou City.This study includes some parts as follows:1.Research on highly efficient cultivation technique of mandarin fishEcological health aquaculture mode was carries out by taking dace as the mandarin fish for the main bait fish,to cultivate procambarus clarkii first and mandarin fish afterwards.The results of this study suggest that the output of procamb.arus clarkii in the aquaculture model reach 40.0kg/667m2 to 46.7kg/667m2,the income is 1600RMB/667m2 to 1733RMB/667m2;the output of dace is 720.2kg/667m2 to 770.8kg/667m2,which is 2.4 to 3.8 times of the output of traditional silver carp(Hypophthalmichthys molitrix)cultivation and bighead carp(Hypophthalmichthys nobilis)cultivation,the output of mandarin fish is 122.3kg/667m2 to 127.4kg/667m2,and the pure economic benefits are 2415RMB/667m2 to 2554RMB/667m2,which is increased by 75%to 155%compared to the output of mandarin fish by taking silver carpand bighead carp as the bait fish.In addition,the pure economic benefits are increased by 61%to 70%.2.Research on simple cultivation and application of EM bacteriaUnder specific conditions,the culture medium of EM bacteria,EM bacteria species,and solute(water)are evenly mixed in the container according to a certain proportion.And then,spontaneous fermentation for some time will be conducted,to cultivate the microbial ecological agent-EM bacteria culture solution used for production practice for farming fish.The results of this study indicate that when the culture temperature is 25? to 35?.the culture time is 5d to 7d,the obtained pH value is between 3.6 and 4.6,and the simple EM bacteria culture solution is in the color of auburnish red or dark red.This kind of culture solution can improve the aquatic environment and control diseases,to decrease the food coefficient by 0.14 to 0.17 and reduce the costs of dace(Cirrhinus molitorella)production per kg by 0.56RMB to 0.68RMB.Every 1 RMB of EM bacteria being input can improve the culture output of 1.94kg to 2.45kg.3.Research and application on special fishing net of mandarin fishAccording to the needs of production practice,and based on the fishing characteristics of mandarin fish,a set of special fishing net is designed in order to solve the shortcomings like time consuming,energy demanding,high labor cost,low fishing rate and undesirable fishing effects of traditional fishing net.The application results show that three to four people can conduct the drag fishing operation towards the special fishing net,with the fishing rate of the first net above 85%,the fishing rate of the first three nets of 95%.It can save the labor cost of 100RMB to 200 RMB for the fish farmers at each time.Compared to the traditional fishing net,it is convenient,practical,economical and highly-efficient.4.Application of haccp system on mandarin fish aquacultureThe analysis is conducted to determine the critical control points and put forward preventive measures for the hazards from the mandarin fish aquaculture production,such as biological,chemical hazards and physical hazards etc.The quality safety control measures of aquatic products mainly regarding HACCP system are preliminarily established,and it is vigorously demonstrated,promoted and applied in mandarin fish breeding ponds of Chuzhou City,Application effect is making mandarin fish production sanitary,standard and normalized in order to guarantee the security and traceability of the quality of mandarin fish,to improve the competitiveness in the market of aquatic products,promote the efficiency of fishery and the income of fishers,and to promote the sustainable development of mandarin fish farming industry.
