With 16 families from progeny test plantation of 30-year-old hybrid larch from Qingshan Forest Farm in Linkou County of Heilongjiang Province,we determined the density, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, water, hot water extractive,1%NaOH extractive and polyglucose content of different age groups, and done genetic variation analysis, trait correlation and early and late correlation analysis.Explored the variation rule and filtered out excellent families with high wood density, high cellulose content, low lignin content and low extraction content, and laid the foundation for the production application. At the same time, through the correlation analysis of traits and early and late correlation analysis, prepared for indirect selection and early selection. The variation of Hybrid Larch each family of material properties and chemical composition traits was relatively small,in the wood properties, the coefficient variation of wood basic density, cellulose content, hemicellulose content and lignin content were 7.64%,3.38%,4.00% and 3.50% relatively. The family was rich in genetic variation. The wood basic density variation of bigger three family which variation coefficient was 12.14%,10.49%,9.42%,smaller three family coefficient of variation was 3.38%,4.34%,4.61%,;cellulose content in bigger variation of three family which variation coefficient was 5.36%,4.98%,4.79%,smaller three family variation coefficient of variation was 1.41%,1.64%,1.75%;hemicellulose content in bigger variation of three family the variation coefficient was 7.12%,5.63%,5.61%,smaller three family variation coefficient of variation was 2.45%,2.81%,2.92%.In the chemical composition, moisture content, hot water extractive content,1% NaOH extractive content and polyglucose content variation coefficient were 10.23%,9.03%,3.31% and 2.24% respectively;polyglucose content in bigger variation of three family the variation coefficient was 6.01%,3.80%,3.49%,smaller three family variation coefficient of variation was 0.49%,0.73%,0.99%,respectively.Heritability was 56.18%,69.22%,99.52% respectively in hemicellulose content,1% NaOH extractive content, polyglucose content by moderate and strong genetic control. The correlation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between wood density and hemicellulose content, and negatively correlated with lignin content. The correlation coefficients were-0.259 and-0.338,respectively,which were not significantly correlated with cellulose content. The correlation between the content of hot water extractive and hemicellulose content and lignin content was significant, and the correlation with hemicellulose content was very significant at 0.01 level, the correlation coefficient was-0.298.There was no significant correlation between the content of 1% Na OH extract and the traits of each material. The results of correlation analysis showed that: in general, the traits could be selected for 7-9 years. In the wood density,J5 × S51,J11 × S51 two families, sooner or later the relative performance of relatively early;cellulose content of the earlier family for J11 × S64,J11 × X2;hemicellulose content of the earlier family for J11×S61,J11×X7.In the case of polyglucose content, the families of J11 × X7,X12 × J73-18,X6 × H148,these families can be selected 3 years earlier.Eventually, the selection of the family J11×S61,J11×X2,J11×S64,J11×X8 as excellent families of pulp. The family of J11×S61,J11×S64,the two families of wood density were higher than the average family of 4.64%,5.91%.The four families of cellulose, hemicellulose content was also higher. The content of pentose in the four families were 26.60%,24.92%,5.34%,20.11% higher than the total family average, respectively.
