Light as an important external factor affecting the growth and life of insects, light wavelength, intensity, time cycle, polarization affect the behavior of insects and diapause. In the indoor breeding, the timing switch indoor lamps provide the length of the photoperiod, while the beginning and end of the photoperiod in nature is not abrupt, but gradually changing. In order to study the difference in the feeding process of these two kinds of change rates. In this experiment,a self-made gradual light system was used to simulate the Photoperiod of natural light gradually brightening to constant illumination and gradually darkening, and the comparison of the light cycle conditions in the normal indoor rearing of the normal room was compared with the breeding of the peach heart worm, and two illumination conditions were observed in the self-made observation box by the red outer night vision system.Behavior observation of the lower corn borer. The results obtained are as follows:Under the two illumination conditions, there was no significant difference in the rate of fruit decay, the rate of fruit removal, the rate of cocoon making and the rate of emergence, but the difference in the development period of the two illumination conditions was significant, and the development period was shorter under the gradient light condition.Diapause insect cocoons were found under the condition of abrupt light, and Diapause Cocoons were not found under gradual illumination, indicating that diapause rate was further reduced under gradual illumination. The number of adults raised under gradient illumination was two times that of mutant light.Under the two illumination conditions, three pairs of corn borers were observed con tinuously, and three days for each pair.Through used infrared camera and HD recorder to observe the behavior changes in bright and dark periods.According to the collected results, under the condition of mutant light, the corn borer is more active, flying longer and more times, and the male is more sensitive to light.Under the condition of gradual light, the activity of corn borer was low,and the time of the moth borer was still long in the absence of sudden change, and the activity was not violent under the condition of sudden change of light. In the gradient brightness at the beginning of the time without the mutation light conditions of male activities for a long time.Show that the mutant light inhibited the male flight. From the perspective of oviposition, the distribution of eggs under the mutation condition is scattered, and the distribution of eggs is more concentrated under gradual conditions, and the amount of eggs laid down under the gradual change is more than that of the mutant eggs.
