Background: Helicobacter pylori?Hp?infection is very commom and it is closely related to a lot of gastrointestinal and extragastric disease.Hp infection is seriously harmful to human health.Eradication of helicobacter pylori becomes one of the most formidable challenge for digestive system.Recent years, the likelihood of successful eradication of Hp has declined significantly.Though several new therapeutic schedule, such as sequential therapy, concomitant therapy, levofloxacin triple therapy, has been proposed, the treatment status is always not satisfied. It is of great importance to identify the factors influence Hp eradication.Hp in oral cavity and in stool being found succesively, provided theoretical basis for Hp transmission. It is assumed that Hp transmission mainly occurs via the orol–fecal and oral–oral routes in most cases. As entrance of digestive system, oral cavity is the only way which must be passed for these two route transmission. The association between Helicobacter pylori in oral cavity and in stomach gradually got into investigators' insight. Objective: To analyze the impact of helicobacter pylori in oral cavity on helicobacter pylori in stomach and its eradication. Methods: 1193 cases of chronic gastritis patients in outpatient department of first affiliated hospital of Dalian Medical Universit the patients includedy from July 2014 to January 2016 were brought into the study. All the included patients was diagnosed as chronic gastritis by gastroscope. They all accepted 14C-urea breath test(14C-UBT)and divided according to 14C-UBT result into two groups : positive and negative. Then all patients of the two groups underwent saliva Hp rapid urease test?RUT?.The positive rate of saliva Hp RUT were compared between the two groups.132 cases of chronic gastriti with Hp infection and eradication indication were selected, and divided according saliva Hp RUT result into two groups:positive and negative. All the 132 selected patients were given the same eradication scheme with Lizhuwei Sanlian and Raberazole,10 days.Theeradication rate between the two group were compared.Statistical analysis were carried out by SPSS19.0.Results:1.Hp infection rate of stomach and oral cavity is 48.95%,47.69% respectively.2.The rate of Hp detected in saliva in patient with Hp infection in stomach was 51.5%?n = 584?,and in patient without Hp infection in stomach was 44.2%?n=609?.Difference between the two groups is statistically significant?p<0.05?.3.The eradication rate of Hp infection in stomach in patient with positive saliva Hp was 29.7%?22/74?,and in patient with negative saliva Hp was 51.%?30 / 58?.Difference between the two groups is statistically significant?p<0.05?..Conclusions:1.Helicobacter pylori infection in oral cavity and in stomach is relatively commom.2.There was a positive correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection in oral cavity and in stomach.3.The effectiveness of the eradication therapy for gastric Hp infection is affected by the presence of Hp in oral cavity.
