Objective:The incidence and mortality of the lung cancer is the first in the malignant tumor in our country.Chemotherapy is the main treatment for advanced lung cancer,however it is more important to evaluate the efficacy of chemotherapy.Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and carcino-embryonic antigen(CEA)has different degrees of expression in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Therefore this expeirment was to study the expression of VEGF and CEA in serum of patients with NSCLC pre-and post-chemotherapy,and then explore whether VEGF and CEA is expected to become a reliable predictor of NSCLC chemotherapy curative effect.Methods:Healthy people form yijishan hospital(approved by ethics committee).NSCLC patients were comfirmed by histopathology,and all patients with advanced lung cancer complied with the indication for chemotherapy.Prior to the first and third cycle of chemotherapy on 1 day and healthy controls extraction of venous blood 3 ml respectively,after the centrifugal take upperserum in the frozen storage under 80? below zero.Using ELISA to measure VEGF and CEA levels in seurm before and after chemotherapy respectively.Results:1.(1)Compared with control group,patients with NSCLC serum VEGF,CEA concentrations before chemotherapy and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy were significantly higher than that of normal control group,P<0.05;(2)Compared before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy,VEGF,CEA concentration comparision,P<0.05.2.(1)NSCLC group can be divided into PR(partial response),SD(stability),PD (progress)group.Between groups of VEGF comparison before and after chemotherapy,PR group shows that compared with chemotherapy before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy comparison,P<0.05;SD group shows that compared with chemotherapy before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy comparison,P>0.05;PD group shows that compared with chemotherapy before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy comparison,P<0.05.(2)Between groups of CEA comparison before and after chemotherapy,PR group shows that compared with chemotherapy before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy comparison,P<0.05;SD group shows that compared with chemotherapy before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy comparison,P>0.05;PD group shows that compared with chemotherapy before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy comparison,P<0.05.Conclusion:1.VEGF and CEA concentration before chemotherapy significantly higher than that of normal healthy people,after 2 cycles of chemotherapy VEGF,CEA concentration drops to some extent.2.After 2 cycles of chemotherapy VEGF,CEA serum concentration in PR,SD group are different degree decline,PR group down significantly,after chemotherapy VEGF,CEA serum concentration in PD group increase significantly.3.Before and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy between VEGF,CEA serum concentration,are positively correlated.4.In non-small cell lung cancer,parallel testing VEGF and CEA,detection specificity same to alone,but series testing VEGF and CEA,detection high sensitivity than separate test.
