The Clinic Significance And Expression Of Flotillin-2 And C-erbB-2 In Cervical Cancer

ObjectiveTo investigate the protein expression of Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 in human cervical cancer an;analyze the relationship between the proteins and clinic pathological characters of human cervical cancer.MethodsAll the cases were collected from Jinzhou Women and Children's hospital,including 80 cases of cervical cancer,30 cases of CIN and 30 cases of hysterectomy specimens as control.Histopathological diagnoses were made according to the pathological classification system of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO).The available patient clinic pathological information included patients' age,FIGO stage,tumor size,histological grade and lymphatic metastasis.The protein expression of Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 were detected by immunohistochemistry and western blotting.Results1.The positive expression of Flotillin-2 was higher in cervical cancer(47/80,58.8%)than that in CIN(9/30,30.0%)and normal cervical tissues(2/30,6.7%)(P<0.01).2.The positive expression of C-erbB-2 was higher in cervical cancer(50/80,62.5%)than that in CIN(11/30,36.7%)and normal cervical tissues(1/30,6.7%)6.7%(2/30)?(P<0.01).3.The protein expression of Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 was correlated to clinical stage,grade and lymph node metastasis.There was significantpositive correlation between Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 in human cervical cancer(r=0.610,P<0.05).4.The result of western blotting indicates that the protein expression of Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 in cervical cancer were higher than that in CIN and normal cervical tissue.Conclusions1.The protein expression of Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 in cervical cancer was higher than that in CIN and normal cervical tissue.The protein expression of Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 was related to clinical stage,grade and lymph node metastasis.2.There was significant positive correlation between Flotillin-2 and C-erbB-2 and Bcl-2 protein expression in human cervical cancer which indicates that they could participate in the development and growth of cervical cancer in cooperation.
