| Objective: To explore the relationship between bone mineral density and a linear black signal area of STIR image in MRI of vertebral compression fractures,providing a better recommendation for the treatment on vertebral compression fractures.Methods: The study collected the hospitalized patients from 2014-07-01 to2016-07-01 in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University Of Chinese Medicine.All the 574 patients Conformed to the standard were divided into 4 groups according to the QCT of lumbar,Group A:QCT of lumbar ≤ 30 mg/cm~3;Group B30 mg/cm~3 < QCT of lumbar ≤ 50 mg/cm~3;Group C:50 mg/cm~3<QCT of lumbar≤80mg/cm~3;Group D:80mg/cm~3<QCT of lumbar ≤ 120mg/cm~3;Among them,there are 142 cases in group A,172 cases in group B,177 cases in group C,83 cases in group D.Linear black signal area in the STIR image of MRI would be recorded “yes” or “no”.SPSS22 statistical software was used for data analysis.Chi-squared test was used for analyzed gender,Linear black signal area in the STIR image of MRI exist or not in different bone mineral density group,inspection level alpha set to 0.05,P< 0.05 showed statistically significant difference.When multiple comparison,inspection level alpha set to 0.008.If the ages’ s data was accord with normal distribution and homogeneity of variances,we will adopt analysis of variance,if or not,we will adopt Kruskal-Wallis test,inspection level alpha set to 0.05,P < 0.05 showed statistically significant difference.Results:Gender and age distribution between the four groups is not significant,and they are comparable.Linear black signal area in the STIR image of MRI exist or not in different bone mineral density group c 2=16.467 a,df=3,p=0.001,difference is statistically significant.(P < 0.05).And when When multiple comparison,group A compared to group B,C,D respectively,difference is statistically significant.(P < 0.008).but when B compared to C,B compared to D,C compared to D,there is no difference(P>0.008),The highest percentage of Linear black signal area in the STIR image of MRI exist was in group A.Conclusion: MRI as the preferred method of early diagnosis of osteoporotic fracture,in the early diagnosis by MRI STIR as the a linear black signal area predict prognosis of fracture.we can find that there may be have some relationship between bone mineral density and linear black signal area.The lower the bone mineral density values,particularly QCT of lumbar ≤ 30mg/cm~3,the linear black signal area occur more frequently. |
