Objective:The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation of serum fetuin A and fetuin B with glycolipid metabolism parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes and provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes. At the same time,it also investigates the correlation between fetuin A and fetuin B with phlegm dampness syndrome in type 2 diabetes and provides a new reference for the objectification of TCM syndrome types of diabetes.Methods:32 normal subjects and 93 patients with type 2 diabetes are enrolled in this study. At the same time,93 patients with diabetes are divided into phlegm dampness syndrome group(n=51)and non phlegm dampness syndrome group(n = 42)according to TCM syndrome differentiation.Detect the levels of serum fetuin A and fetuin B in different groups, and analyze the relationship of them with gender, age, blood pressure(SBP,DBP),body mass index(BMI),C reactive protein(CRP)and glycolipid metabolism parameters, including fasting plasma glucose(FPG)?HbAlc?fasting insulin(FINS)?fasting C peptide(FCP)?insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)?triglyceride(TG)?total cholesterol(TC)?high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)?low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)?uric acid(UA).Results:1?The levels of age,SBP,DBP,BMI,FPG,TG in the diabetic group are higher than those in the normal group(p<0.01),the level of HDL-C is lower than that in the normal group(p<0.01),there is no significant difference between the two groups in gender,UA,TC,LDL-C,fetuin A and fetuin B;2?In the normal group, unifactor correlation analysis shows that fetuin A is negatively correlated with HDL-C?UA(p<0.05),positively correlated with fetuin B(p<0.01),the stepwise regression shows that fetuin B and fetuin A are independently associated(p<0.01);3?In the diabetic group, unifactor correlation analysis shows that fetuin A is negatively correlated with TC?LDL-C(p<0.05),positively correlated with BMI?FPG?UA(p<0.05),unifactor correlation analysis shows that fetuin B is positively correlated with TG?HbAlc(p<0.05),the stepwise regression shows that CRP?BMI?TG?LDL-C and fetuin A are independently associated(p<0.05),FCP and fetuin B are independently associated(p<0.05);4?In patients with type 2 diabetes, the levels of BMI?FPG?UA?TG?FCP and fetuin A in the phlegm dampness syndrome group are higher than those in the non phlegm dampness syndrome group(p<0.05);5?In the diabetic group with phlegm dampness syndrome, unifactor correlation analysis shows that fetuin A is negatively correlated with LDL-C(p<0.01),positively correlated with BMI(p<0.01),unifactor correlation analysis shows that fetuin B is negatively correlated with SBP(p<0.05),the stepwise regression shows that BMI and fetuin A are independently associated(p<0.01),UA and fetuin B are independently associated(p<0.05).Conclusions:1?The levels of serum fetuin A and fetuin B in type 2 diabetes have some correlations with BMI and glycolipid metabolism indexes, which indicates that fetuin A and fetuin B are found to be involved in glucose and lipid metabolism in vivo.Fetuins are expected to become a new indicator for monitoring and intervention of patients with diabetes.2?The level of fetuin A in type 2 diabetes with phlegm dampness syndrome is significantly higher than that in non phlegm dampness syndrome group, which suggests that fetuin A plays an important role in phlegm dampness syndrome of TCM and it is one of the objective indicators of the phlegm dampness syndrome of diabetes mellitus.3?There is no significant difference between the two groups in fetuin B,and there is no close relationship between fetuin B with glycolipid metabolism indexes in the phlegm damp syndrome group. The role of fetuin B in the phlegm damp syndrome needs further study.
