Background:With the improvement of people's living standards, the incidence of diabetes increased gradually.Vascular disease is a common complication of diabetes mellitus(DM),in which the coronary artery is the target organ that is primarily involved. Therefore, diabetes and coronary heart disease(CAD)are risks, both often exist. However,Diabetes and coronary heart disease as a common diabetic macrovascular complications, the pathogenesis is not yet fully clear, but that is closely related to low inflammation.Neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)is a recent inflammatory marker, can more stable reflect the inflammatory state of the body.A large number of studies have confirmed that NLR plays an important role in the development and progression of coronary heart disease or diabetes mellitus, but there is relatively little research on diabetes mellitus along with coronary heart disease.Lipoprotein Associated Phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)is a serine lipase secreted by macrophages,T cells and mast cells in the intima of intima, and is a novel inflammatory marker.Directly involved in the process of coronary atherosclerosis. At present, clinical research on NLR and Lp-PLA2 in diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease is less, and are independent of the study,on these two indicators at the same time in diabetes and coronary heart disease research yet.Aim:To evaluate the value of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients along with coronary artery disease(CAD)Methods:125 patients were divided into four groups: the simple T2 DM group(n=29),simple CAD group(n=31),and T2 DM along with CAD group(n=32).Meanwhile,33 healthy subjects served as the control group. The clinical and biochemical data were collected for comparing the differences in NLR and Lp-PLA2 among four groups. Results:The NLR and Lp-PLA2 level in the T2DM+CAD group were higher than in the T2 DM,CAD and control group(P<0.05).The NLR and Lp-PLA2 level in the T2 DM and CAD group were higher than in the control group(P<0.01).Logistic regression analysis hinted that NLR and Lp-PLA2 were the risk factors for CAD in T2 DM patients(OR=5.381 and OR=1.014,P<0.01).Conclusion:1.There was a significant correlation between the levels of NLR and Lp-PLA2 and the severity of type 2 diabetes mellitus along with coronary heart disease.2.Elevated levels of NLR and Lp-PLA2 were risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus along with coronary heart disease.
