| Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Modified Buyanghuanwu Decoction on treating refractory alopecia areata with the pattern of Qi deficiency and Blood stasis and to explore the prospect of Dermoscopy in hair loss.Methods: 72 patients with refractory alopecia areata with the pattern of Qi deficiency and Blood stasis were randomly divided into two groups.The patients in the treatment group(36 cases)were treated orally with Modified Buyanghuanwu Decoction,while the control group(36 cases)received the Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablet.Both groups were treated with the plum-blossom needle.The clinical curative effects of both treatments on healing all subjects were observed by dermoscopy.With 4 weeks as an observation course of treatment,the effects were filled out in observation tables before treatment and 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment.The data were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 to determine the effects.Results: 1 Alopecia areata lesion score: Before treatment,alopecia areata lesion score of the two groups are of no significant differences.After three courses(12 weeks)of treatment,the alopecia areata lesion score of both two groups are obviously decreased,and the effects on treatment group was obviously better than those on the control group(P<0.05).2 Clinical effects: After three courses(12 weeks)of treatment,in the treatment group,the total effective rate was 86.11% with 3 cases completely cured,15 cases significantly effective,13 cases effective,and 5 cases ineffective,while in the control group,the total effective rate was 60.00% with 1 case completely cured,11 cases significantly effective,9 cases effective and 9 cases ineffective.The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).3 Curative effects observed by dermoscopy: Observed by dermoscopy,there was no significant difference in the hair density of two groups before treatment.After 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks treatment,hair density of treatment group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1 Modified Buyanghuanwu Decoction combined with plum-blossom needle has a definite effect on treating the refractory alopecia areata with the pattern of Qi deficiency and Blood stasis,which provides a new clinical thought and method to the treatment of refractory alopecia areata based on pattern identification.2 Modified Buyanghuanwu Decoction has a better therapeutic effects than compound glycyrrhizin tablets in treating refractory alopecia areata with the pattern of Qi-deficiency and Blood-stasis.3 Dermoscopy has a wide application prospect in the clinical evaluation of hair loss diseases. |
