| ObjectiveEvaluating the clinical efficacy of vaccum sealing drainage by comparing the degree of pain,treatment time,antibiotic use time,dressing change times and improvement rate between vacuum sealing drainage and traditional method of drainage in the treatment of maxillofacial space infection.MethodsWe collected 30 cases of MSI patients hospitalized in Department of Stomatology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from February 2015 to January 2017.which 23 cases of infection located in multiple space of the floor of the mouth;3 cases of infection of submandibular space;2 cases of infection in the space of masseter muscle;2 cases of infection in the space of the cheek.The patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group.In the control group,20 patients were treated with traditional method of drainage,In the experimental group,10 patients were treated with VSD.30 cases of MSI patients after admission,in addition to the routine examination and inspection to exclude surgical contraindications outside,they were treated empirically with antibiotic for anti-inflammatory treatment and took the pus bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests.When the test results came out,then gave them sensitive antibiotic treatment.Two groups of patients were punctured and taken out pus,met the indications of surgical incision and drainage,did the surgical treatment of bscess incision of extraoral incision and local debridement.All of the experimental data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 statistical software,T test and chi square test were carried out according to the characteristics of the data,descriptive statistics are presented in tabular form.Evaluating the clinical efficacy of VSD by comparing the degree of pain,treatment time,antibiotic use time,dressing change times and improvement rate.Results1、Comparison of pain in two groups of patients during treatment.The degree of pain before treatment in the control group was(6.500±0.512),The degree of pain before treatment in the experimental group was(6.800± 0.632),There was no significant difference between the two groups(P=0.1063).The degree of pain in the control group was(5.500±0.607),The degree of pain in the experimental group was(3.500±0.527),The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.001).The pain degree of the control group after treatment was(1.350±0.671),The pain degree of the experimental group after treatment was(0.500±0.527),The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.0005).2、Comparison of two groups of patients with treatment time,antibiotic use time,dressing change frequency and improvement rate.The average treatment time of the control group was(11.850±2.207)days,the average treatment time of the experimental group was(9.700±2.406)days,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.0150).The average number of antibiotics used in the control group(8.650±2.033)days,the average number of days of antibiotic use in the experimental group(6.800±1.687)days,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.0076).The number of dressing change in the control group was(9.200±2.262)times,the number of dressing change in the experimental group was(3.900±0.738)times,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.001).The improvement rate of the control group was 50%,the improvement rate of the experimental group was 70%,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P=0.242).Conclusion1、For the treatment of maxillofacial space infection,the method of Vacuum Sealing Drainage,compared to traditional method of drainage,has shorter healing time and the patient’s pain was relieved,the hospital stay was reduced,and the doctor’s workload was significantly reduced.2、VSD is a better method for the treatment of MSI,can promote the use of. |
