Clinical Research Of The Prescription Of Heat-Clearing-Dampness-Dissipating To Interfere In The Syndrome Of Dampness-Heat Stagnancy Deficiency Of Acute Gouty Arthritis

Objective:To explore acute gouty arthritis in view of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)theory,we designed a clinical trial,with TCM syndrome differentiation and treated with a TCM herbal prescription.To evaluate therapeutic clinical efficacy,we surveilled ESR,CRP,UA levels as well as the direct relief of pain through VAS scale and other symptoms.Methods:60 cases of acute gouty arthritis with stagnant damp-heat syndrome were randomly divided into two groups:The control group with 30 cases,received foundation treatment(lifestyle intervention,low purine diet and proper motion)and Voltaren(75mg once a day).The treatment group,received heat-clearing-dampness-dissipating TCM formula in addition to the foundation treatment once a day.The two groups of patients were treated for a period of 1 week as 1 course of treatment,observed a total of 2 courses.The TCM syndrome markers VAS,range of motion,arthrosis,ESR,CRP,UA levels,as well as safety indicators were recorded.Results:Through SPSS19.0 statistical analysis we found that:?the effective rate of the treatment group was 96.7%,the effective rate of the control group was 70%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).?the syndromes curative effect:the treatment group after treatment was compared with the previous improved to a certain extent(P<0.05or P<0.01),which showed that the difference between the two groups has statistical significance.When comparing between groups,The treatment group curative effect is better than the control group(P<0.05).?for joint symptoms evaluation(VAS score of arthralgia,arthrocele,joint range of motion,joint tenderness count)the treatment group after treatment was as compared with the previous have significant difference(P<0.05).Comparing joint symptoms,the treatment group on is better than the control group(P<0.05).?BUA?ERP and CRP compared with before treatment were significantly decreased in both groups(P<0.05);BUA?ERP and CRP control effect is was better in the treatment group(P<0.05),?Safety indicators:during the research,there was no significant difference before and after treatment with regards to blood in the urine or stool,or liver and Kidney function.Nausea,vomiting,skin rash,or other adverse reactions did also not appear.(P>0.05)Conclusion:TCM treatment of acute gouty arthritis with Damp-Heat stagnancy is more effective than only using Voltaren.It not only improved the main clinical symptoms,but also improved BUA?ERP and CRP level and Kidney function.As a safe and effective treament option,it should not only be further studied,but also put into popular practice.
