Objective:To discuss the characteristics and analyze the risk factors for osteoporosis in the elderly over 80 years of age. Methods:There are total 167 subjects(male:77,femal:90),which is selected from the cadre ward of the first hospital of Jilin University in 2015-2016 including 56 cases in normal bone groups(T?-1),60 cases in osteopenia groups(-2.5<T<-1)and 51 cases in osteoporosis groups(T?-2.5).Data were analyzed by the software of SPSS18.0.Results:The overall prevalence of OP was 30.54%,the ratio of normal bone was 33.53%,the ratio of osteopenia was 35.9%,the ratio of abnormal bone mass was 66.47%.The rate of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidemia was high among the three groups. In the T3 group, the rate of diabetes(52.9%,P=0.001),hypertension(49.0%,P=0.015)and hyperlipidemia(35.3%,P=0.049)was higher(P<0.05)than in the T1 group.BMI,handgrip Strength, total triglycerides and fasting blood-glucose were different among T1 group(T?-1),T2 group(-2.5<T<-1)and T3 group(T?-2.5)(P<0.05).Muscle,bone mineral salt content and bone mineral density were different among T1 group,T2 group and T3 group(P<0.05).Fat(P=0.003),and muscle(P<0.001),bone mineral salt content(P<0.001)and bone mineral density(P<0.001)were positively related with T score. With the loss of the T score, the handgrip strength decreased gradually. In the T3 group, upper limb muscles, upper body fat,arm bone mineral salt content and handgrip Strength was lower(P<0.001)than in the T1 group. With the increase of BMI,the prevalence of OP decreased gradually. In the BMI18.5-23.9 group(P=0.005),the BMI24-27.9 group(P<0.001)and BMI?28 group(P=0.004),the prevalence of OP was lower than in the BMI<18.5 group.Under the different fasting blood glucose levels, prevalence of OP was higher in the FBG6.1-7.0mmol/L,which is the higher than any other groups. In the Exercise group(P=0.034),insist on drinking milk group(P=0.003)and insist on taking calcium supplements group(P=0.009),the prevalence of OP were lower than other groups.Conditional logistic regression analysis suggested that Low body mass index(OR: 0.802,95% CI: 0.663-0.971),High triglycerides(OR: 2.170,95% CI: 1.016-4.637),diabetes(OR: 2.764,95% CI: 1.083-7.053),hypertension(OR: 3.277,95% CI: 1.247-8.614)and Low grip strength(OR: 0.858,95% CI: 0.744-0.990)were independent risk factors for the incidence of osteoporosis in the elderly over 80 years.Conclusions:(1)Diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia of the elderly over the age of 80 are more likely to have osteoporosis.(2)Insist on taking calcium supplements, exercise, insist on drinking milk the prevalence of osteoporosis was lower in the elderly.(3)Maintain a normal BMI,control levels of triglycerides, fasting plasma glucose, was helpful to reduce the prevalence of osteoporosis in the elderly.(4)Low body mass index, diabetes, hypertension, high triglycerides and low handgrip strength were risk factors of osteoporosis in the elderly over 80 years.Insist on taking calcium supplements were protective factors of osteoporosis,it can prevent the osteoporosis.
