Professor Liu Jianqiu's Treatment Of Phlegm Turbidity Obstructing Lung Related Patterns Of COPD Based On Syndrome Differentiation

Objective:The paper is to summarize Professor Liu Jianqiu's experiences in treating phlegm turbidity obstructing lung related patterns of COPD based on syndrome differentiation.Methods:Collect COPD cases,which were characterized of turbid-phlegm obstructing lung syndrome and treated by professor Liu from March 1st 2016 to January 1st,2017.Establish database for the eligible medical records in the Microsoft Excel,and count the frequency rate of Chinese medicines used in the prescriptions.Count these commonly used Chinese medicines(frequency rate?10%)according to its four qi,five flavors,meridian tropism and efficacy.Summarize Professor Liu Jianqiu's treatment based on syndrome differentiation experience according to the statistical results and the nature theory of Chinese medicines.Results:The study totally collected 45 first treated prescriptions,involving 78 Chinese medicines,with 39 commonly used Chinese medicines(frequency rate?10%).The nature and flavour statistical results of commonly used Chinese medicines:the top 3 of four qi is warmth,mildness and coldness;the top 3 of five flavors is sweet,pungent and bitter?the top 5 of meridian tropism is lung meridian,spleen meridian,heart meridian,stomach meridian,kidney meridian.The top 3 of efficacy classification is phlegm-resolving,cough-suppressing and panting-calming medicine,tonifying and boosting medicine,heat-clearing medicine.Conclusion:1.Professor Liu Jianqiu's therapeutic principles of treating COPD phlegm turbidity obstructing lung related patterns are:balancing yin and yang;regulating the viscera and pay more attention to the lung and spleen;treating excess by purgation and deficiency by tonification,eliminating the pathogenic factors without hurting healthy qi;treating the tip and root simultaneously,treating the acute before the chronic and treating the tip in critical case and the root in chronic case.2.Professor Liu Jianqiu's therapeutic methods of treating COPD phlegm turbidity obstructing lung related patterns are summarized as follows:tonifying spleen to dry dampness,directing qi downward to resolve phlegm,suppress cough and calming panting are the basic treatment;warming yan to resolve fluid retention,clearing depressed heat,regulating qi and activating blood,tonifying and replenish viscera are auxiliary treatments.3.Professor Liu Jianqiu treats phlegm turbidity obstructing lung pattern with Erchen decoction and Sanzi yangqin decotion as basic prescription.Resolve depression to the depression syndrome accompanied;active blood and resolve stasis to the blood stasis syndrome accompanied;give tonifying and replenishing medicinal to the deficiency syndrome accompanied.
