Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features of gastric cancer in Xinjiang Uygur and Han,and to analyze the expression of EGFR and VEGF in gastric cancer and its correlation with clinicopathological features and the correlation between the two,to provide help for the evaluation and treatment of disease. Methods: A total of 592 cases of gastric cancer with operative treatment in our hospital from January 2011 to December 2015 were collected.General and clinicopathological features information were retrospectively analyzed.230 cases were randomly selected, and expression of EGFR and VEGF proteins was detected by immunohistochemistry, and its relationship with clinical pathological parameters and the correlation between the two were analyzed. Results: Among the 592 gastric cancer cases,164 cases were Uighurs, male to female ratio was 3.69:1,428 cases were Hans, male to female ratio was 2.92:1,and the cases aged from 51 to 70 had a high incidence.Compared with Han,the cancer position of Uighur was upper to the stomach(P<0.05).The majority histological type of gastric cancer in both nationalities was adenocarcinoma;regarding pathologic type, the advanced gastric cancer was Borrmann?.The early gastric cancers of Uighur were only six cases, the Han were 49 cases, and the proportion of early carcinoma of the Uighur is less than that of the Han(P<0.05).The T stage and TNM stage of the Uighur gastric cancer were higher than the Han(P<0.05).Thepositive expression rate of EGFR and VEGF in gastric cancer was 23.0%,18.3%,respectively.The expression of EGFR was closely related to lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),but not with the tumor location, tumor size, differentiation degree, depth of invasion,TNM stage and tumor thrombus. The expression of VEGF wasclosely related to the degree of tumor differentiation, depth of invasion, lymph nodemetastasis and TNMstage(P<0.05).Meanwhile,EGFR expression level was relevant to VEGF expression(P<0.05).Conclusion: Uighur and Han patients withgastric cancer have the same pointsand different points in clinicopathologic characteristics,we should take the corresponding treatment measures. The expression of EGFR and VEGF plays an important role in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, and provide the basis for targeted therapy of gastric cancer.
