Studies On Chemical Constituents And Pharmacological Activity Of The Leaves Of Ficus Pumila

The Ficus pumila Linn.is a kind of plant in the genus ficus which belongs to Moraceae.It has been used as Chinese folk for treating diuretic,invigorate the circulation of blood and detoxication.It also can process fruit to bean jelly.The reports about the chemical constituents and pharmacological activity of F.pumila is rarely.And Xiao found that ionone type compounds and flavonoids from the roots of F.pumila has antitumor and antibacterial activity.In order to finding compounds with better activity,we research on the chemical composition and pharmacological activities of leaves of F.Pumila.30 compounds were isolated from leaves of F.Pumila by means of silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20,ODS,HPLC etc.The structures of compounds were identified by spectrum technology and comparison with the literature and determine the structure of compounds,including a new norisoprenoid compound(1),twelve ionone compounds(2-13),four triterpenes(14-17),three sterols(18-20),and ten other compounds(21-30).The compounds were identified as: 3,9-dihydroxy dihydro actinidiolide(1),3?-hydroxy-5,6-epoxy-megastimen-9-one(2),(E)-3-oxo-retro-?-ionol(3),(6R,9S)-3-oxo-?-ionol(4),dehydrovomifoliol(5),3-hydroxy-?-damascone(6),3,9-dihydroxy-5,7-megastigmadien-4-one(7),9,10-dihydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-3-one(8),vomifoliol(9),8,9-dihydro-8,9-dihydroxymegastigmatrienone(10),(6R,9S)-9-hydroxy-megastigma-4,7-dien-3-one-9-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(11),(Z)-4-[3'-(?-D-glucopyranosyloxy)butylidene]-3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-l-one(12),roseoside(13),taraxerol(14),taraxeryl acetate(15),3?-acetoxycycloartan-24-al(16),(23Z)-cycloart-23-en-3?,25-diol(17),(24R)-6?-hydroxy-24-ethyl-cholest-4-en-3-one(18),?-sitosterol(19),7-keto-?-sitosterol(20),ethyl laurate(21),coriolic acid(22),13-hydroxy-9Z,11 E,15E-octadecatrienoic acid(23),ethyl-?-D-glucopyranoside(24),benzyl-?-D-glucopyranoside(25),oxindole(26),pubinernoid A(27),2-[4-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2-methoxyphenoxy]-propane-1,3-diol(28),trans-p-hydroxylethyl cinnamate(29),dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alchol(30).Compound 1was new compound,in addition to 4-5,9-10,16,18-20,the other compounds were isolated from F.Pumila for the first time.Antibacterial activities test found four compounds have antibacterial activities,compound 16 exhibited activity against Bacillus cereus witn MIC value of 6.25 ?g/mL.Compounds 3 and 4 exhibited activity against Hela with IC50 values of 28.07 and29.45?g/ml.Compound 3 exhibited activity against MCF-7 with MIC values of 27.17?g/ml.
