A Preliminary Study On The Core Competence Evaluation Index System Of Wound/Ostomy Nurses

Objective To initially construct a set of core competence evaluation index system for wound/ostomy nurse specialist Which is comformed to the development of Chinese specialty nursing.Which can provide an objective reference for training,appointment,and evaluation of wound/ostomy specialist nurses.Methods The study bulit the basic framework of core competence evaluation index system for wound/ostomy nurse specialist through literature review,expert interviews and theoretical analysis,then screened and corrected the index system by using Delphi method and determined the weigh of the first level index by using precedence chart method and Delphi method.To analyze the concentration degree of expert opinion,expert's enthusiasm,the authority of experts and the coordination degree of expert for all levels of indexes by calculating positive coefficient,authority coefficient,coefficient of variation and coordination coefficient.Results1.The evaluation index system were formed after three rounds of expert consultation,it includes 6 first level indexes,19 second level indexes and 69 third level indexes.The first level indexes are: clinical professional practice ability,critical thinking ability,guiding ability,Interpersonal skills,Nursing management ability and Professional development ability respectively.2.The positive coefficient of experts were 0.952,0.950 and 1.000 respectively,the familiar coefficient was 0.854,the judgment coefficient was 0.952 and the authority coefficient of experts was 0.90.The coordination coefficient of the three level indexes are respectively 0.495,0.472,0.282,chi-square test P<0.001 for all,the difference has statistically significant.3.The weights of the 6 domains in the first level index and 19 items in the second level index and 69 items in the third level index were set up,the weight of the 6 domains in the first level index were:clinical professional practice ability(0.2824),critical thinking ability(0.2140),guiding ability(0.1895),Interpersonal skills(0.1000),nursing management ability(0.0860)and Professional development ability(0.1281).Conclusion The core competence evaluation index system of wound/ostomy specialist nurses were formed,and the weight of all levels were determined.The representation of experts was very good,the views of the indicators are more consistent,The scientific and reliable of the results was high.This system can provide an objective reference for the training of wound/ostomy specialist nurses,to provide an objective standard for the appointment,and evaluation of wound/ostomy specialist nurses.
