Chemical defense matters national security and social stability.It is very important to train a group of professional chemical defense talents.As practical environments contaminated by chemical agents are highly dangerous,conducting the training using a virtual reality(VR)system is undoubtedly an efficient,safe and easy to implement approach.This thesis analyzed the requirements for chemical rescue and designed a VR-based chemical defense training simulation prototype system.Concretely,it consists of the following components: unknown gas detection,emergency treatment of poisoned wounded victims,on-site chemical agent sampling,polluted environment exposure and disinfection,and wounded people cleaning and disinfection.To aid evaluating training effect,we also develop an actual maneuvers drill module.In the aspect of VR techniques,we developed the aforementioned prototype system based on HTC Vive VR hardware equipment as well as Unity 3D engine.Particularly,we mainly investigated 3D scene creation,integration and display policies,discussed VR interactive techniques for chemical defense simulation training,and designed action sequences for chemical defense treatment in terms of the principles of chemical rescue.In the module of actual drill,we also implemented the random setting of scene situations and the training evaluation function.Finally,we also conducted a user study to validate the usability of our system.It showed that the system meets the demands of chemical defense training system and easy to use.The system can aid the users to understand actual chemical defense action tasks.
