Scorpion is dry body of the east Asia Buthus martensii Karsch.Scorpion has analgesia,anticonvulsants,epilepsy,antitumor and other pharmacological activities.By the separation,purification and structure identification to its components,10 compounds were obtained from scorpion,and they are: Cholest-4-en-3-one(1),Cholesterol(2),Uracil(3),1-stearyl-glyc-ero-3-phosphocholine(4),Glycerol(5),Oleic acid(6),Proline(7),Alanine(8),Leucine(9),Trigonelline(10).The compounds(1)and(2)belong to the nonsteroidal compounds,compounds(3)and(10)belong to the alkaloids compounds,compounds(7),(8)and(9)belong to the amino acid compounds.Compounds(1),(4)and(5)are isolated from scorpion for the first time,compound(10)is also obtained from the animals for the first time.Compound(10)is reported to have hypoglycemic,hypolipidemic,neuroprotective,sedative,antibacterial,antiviral,anti-tumor activities,and to have effect on diabetes.So compound(10)may played a role in the progress of treating diabetes of scorpion.The results of these experiments provide theoretical basis and practical methods for further research.Radix zanthoxyli is dry root from Zanthoxylum nitidum(Roxb.)DC.It has analgesic,anti-inflammatory,sedative,spasmolysis,antitumor,antibacterial,effect on cardiovascular and other pharmacological effects.By the separation,purification and structure identification to its components,three compounds were obtained from radix zanthoxyli,and they are toddalolactone(a),toddanone(b),toddaculin(c),and they were determined by using HPLC method for the first time,which provides the scientific basis and practical method for controlling the quality of Zanthoxylum nitidum.
