Objective:By comparing the differences of preopetative application of probiotics and routine preoperative preparation of two groups of colorectal cancer surgery patients postoperative intestinal flora number change and the body’s immune function index, two groups of patients with postoperative recovery time of gastrointestinal function, the incidence of related complications and hospitalization expenses and length of hospital stay and other clinical indicators, make a comprehensive evaluation for the effectiveness and safety of colorectal cancer preoperative application probiotics. Methods:Selection 60 cases of colorectal cancer patients treated by surgery in Shanxi Dayi Hospital general surgery from 2012 January-2016 year in June, were randomly divided into observation group(preoperative application of probiotics)and the control group(routine preoperative preparation)in the two groups,30 cases in each group.Collected all patients fecal samples upon admission and 7 days after operation, analysis the number of two groups of intestinal flora after bacterial cultivate. On the same day, venous blood were collected from all patients to analysis of two group of immune function by examine the serum levels of interleukin-2(IL-2)Ig A,Ig G and Ig M,T lymphocytes CD3+,CD4+ and CD8+ ration. In addition, between the two group of patients with postoperative recovery time of gastrointestinal function, related complications, hospitalization expenses and hospitalization time and so on related date for statistical analysis. Results:The analysis of intestinal flora results:(1)Comparison before and after operation:Observation group for selective bacteria cultivate of 3 kinds of intestinal beneficial bacteria, including bifidobacteria, lactobacillus and enterococcus, postoperative flora number significantly increased compare to the day of admission. The 5 kinds of intestinal pathogenic bacteria, including escherichia coli, yeast, bacillus, streptococcus and staphylococcus aureus, bacteria number has no obvious change before and after operation. But the control group postoperative by selective cultivate of 3 kinds of intestinal bacteria flora number were significantly reduced compare to admission day,5 kinds of intestinal pathogenic bacteria flora number were significantly increased compare to admission day.(2)comparison among groups: Selectively bacteria cultivate of two groups of patients admitted to hospital on the day of the 8 kinds of intestinal bacterial flora number had no significant statistical difference, but the observation group postoperative 3 kinds of intestinal bacteria flora number significantly higher than the control group,5 kinds of intestinal pathogenic bacteria flora number significantly lower than the control group.Immunological indexes analysis results: Observation group postoperative immunological indexes has reduced to some extent compare to the day of admission except IL-2 and Ig A concentration, the control group postoperative all immunology index levels are lower than on the day of admission, but data comparison between the two group patients showed postoperative immunological indexes reduced level observation group were lower than the control group.Relevant clinical data analysis: Observation group postoperative recovery time of gastrointestinal function was significantly shortened compare to the control group, the related complication rates significantly lower than the control group, hospitalization expenses and hospitalization time also significantly less than the control group. Conclusion:The effectiveness and safety of colorectal cancer patients preoperative application of probiotics is positive.Probiotics can correct intestinal disturbance and improve the postoperative immune function and speed up recovery of gastrointestinal function, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and reduce the cost of treatment in patients with colorectal cancer and shorten the time for the purpose of patients in the hospital.
