Objective: To investigate the effects of aerobic exercise on blood pressure,serum inflammatory factors,endothelin and quality of life in patients with mild hypertension.Methods: 60 patients with mild hypertension were divided into 2 groups(the exercise training and the control,30 cases in one group).The control group with a low salt diet and the exercise training group was trained on oderate intensity for 12 weeks in the base of the low salt diet.Blood pressure and body mass index were recorded,serum level of TNF alpha,IL-6 and endothelin-1,concentration of triglycerides,total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,high density lipoprotein cholesterol were detected before and after exercise training.The quality of life of patients was evaluated by,using the SF-36 scale.Results: (1)Before exercise,exercise group of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure there was no significant difference compared with the control group,(SBP:144.80±7.17 mm Hg vs.143.70±8.80 mm Hg,DBP: 92.98±5.47 mm Hg vs.92.80±5.78 mm Hg).After 12 weeks of exercise training,exercise group of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were 135.50±7.24 mm Hg and 86.86±5.87 mm Hg,significantly lower than the control group(systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were 145.50±6.86 mm Hg and 2.80±5.78 mm Hg,P<0.05).(2)Exercise group of body mass index was significantly lower than the control group,(23.58±2.44 vs.24.99±2.50,P<0.05).(3)Exercise group serum tumor necrosis factor alpha,interleukin-6,endothelin-1 concentration decreased significantly compared with the control group,but there was no significant difference between the control group,such as triglyceride,total cholesterol,low density lipoprotein cholesterol,high density lipoprotein choles-terol,and so on.(4)Correlation analysis showed that the exercise group interleukin-6 and systolic blood pressure were positively correlated,the correlation coefficient was 0.782(P<0.01),tumor necrosis factor alpha and endothelin-1 were positively correlated with diastolic blood pressure,and the correlation coefficients were 0.881 and 0.850(P<0.01),Correlation analysis showed that the control group interleukin-6 and systolic blood pressure were positively correlated,the correlation coefficient was 0.871(P<0.01),tumor necrosis factor alpha and endothelin-1 were positively correlated with diastolic blood pressure,and the correlation coefficients were 0.843 and 0.894(P<0.01).(5)multi factor analysis showed that the concentration of tumor necrosis factor alpha and endothelin-1 were closely related to the changes of diastolic blood pressure in the exercise group.(6)SF-36 scale assessment showed that the exercise group general health status,energy,mental health,social function,emotional function,health changes significantly improved compared with the control group and before exercise(P<0.05),But there was no significant difference in physiological function,physiological function compared with control group and before exercise.Conclusion: 1.Aerobic exercise decreases blood pressure,inflammation,and plasma endothelin-1 accompanied by the improvement of the quality of life in patients with mild hypertension.2.The changes of blood pressure and serum tumor necrosis factor alpha,interleukin-6 and plasma endothelin-1 was positively correlated.The hypotensive effect of aerobic exercise may be related to the inhibition of inflammatory response and the decrease of endothelin-1 level.
