| Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical value of heterogeneous acellular dermal matrix in repairing the skin defects after the operation of external ear neoplasms.Methods From January 2013 to March 2016,40 patients(14 auricular neoplasms and 26 external auditory canal neoplasms)were treated with heterogeneous acelluar dermal matrix graft after removal of neoplasms.All patients were followed up for 6 months and assessed the effect postoperatively.Results After 6 months followed-up observation,all patients the wounds healed satisfactorily.Neither obvious scar and skin contracture nor external auditory canal atresia or stenosis occurred after surgical therapy.There were no immunologic reactions or significant systemic complications.Conclusion Heterogeneous acellular dermal matrix may be a simple,secure and reliable biomaterial for repairing skin coloboma after the resection of external ear neoplasms.It is worthy of extended clinical application. |
