Daochisan For Recurrent Oral Ulcers Clinical Research And Effects On VEGF And Other Cytokines

Objective: To observe the efficacy of Daochisan on recurrent oral ulcer(ROU)patients,and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),to explore Daochisan for recurrent oral ulcer treatment and its mechanism,provide a theoretical basis for the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treating recurrent oral ulcer.Methods: According to the cases,100 cases of recurrent oral ulcer were randomly divided into Daochisan and GeneTime(recombinant human epidermal growth factor,rhEGF)treatment group 50 cases and 50 cases of GeneTime control group.Continuous medication for 5 days,observe the local and systemic changs of the patients.Comparing with two groups the short-term and longterm effects.Before treatment random 30 treatment groups,30 control groups and 10 normal health checkup people.All observed object was drawn to 5ml venous blood in the morning,.VEGF,TNF-α was detected by the way of ELISA.After a week the treatment group and control group was drawn to venous blood again,comparing between forward and afterward expressions of VEGF,TNF-α..Results: After treatment 5d,30 d,90d,half a year and one year,the short-term and longterm total efficacy of Daochisan(treatment group)were higher than the control group.Before treatment,The VEGF,TNF-α expression of the treatment group and the control group was obviously higher than the normal group,was obviously lower by the treatment.Statistically significant differences were found(P<0.01).But the TNF-α expression of treatment group close to the normal expression after treatment.The treatment group had better effect than the control group.Conclusion: Daochisan and GeneTime can significantly improve local and systemic symptoms in ROU patients;lower the expression of VEGF,TNF-α.It can quickly promote ulcer healing,reduce relapse,and no significant adverse reactions,effective and reliable.
